After almost 24 years in Multi-family & Mixed Use Real Estate
Development, Management and Marketing the opportunity to enter the
Flooring Industry in 2006 was a welcome change and a definite
challenge. Although I had years of developing and over-seeing
ground-up construction, I admit saying many times “It’s just
flooring”….I knew the fuzzy side went up and thought the installation
process was fast and easy. Needless to say, I have learned quite the
contrary. The process involved to realize a successful project is so
complex; product knowledge, estimating, contract review, project
management, schedule planning, floor preparation, installation, field
supervision, moisture issues and trade coordination – believe me “It’s
not JUST flooring”! As a member of the Starnet Worldwide Commercial
Flooring Partnership education and experience is a priority. A
priority I and my team take full advantage of.
Not unlike real estate, the flooring industry is never boring or
stagnant, we not only learn something new every day; some days we
learn numerous lessons. I take these lessons and make every effort to
convert them into policies and procedures that ultimately protect the
future of Tucson Commercial Carpet, Inc., our contracting clients and
of course the end-users who have invested thousands of dollars, hours
of time, blood, sweat and tears to assure they are creating an
appropriate impression in the environment in which they do their
business.
The remaining founder of Tucson Commercial Carpet, Inc. has a strong
desire to ensure his company and over 40 years of hard work
successfully transitions long into the future. He graciously offered
key staff members the ability to take the helm and become
Shareholders. As a Shareholder & General Manager of the group I
take the responsibility seriously and with a great deal of honor.
Tucson Commercial Carpet, Inc. has a loyal, dedicated and professional
team that genuinely cares about each of our clients and our
reputation. I sincerely enjoy negotiating contracts, working with
General Contractors and their end-users and explaining our philosophy
of “We would rather say no and walk away than to perform work that we
can’t be proud of, or isn’t in the best interest of the development
team”…hence our motto “We Stand on Quality”.
