Kyle is an AHERA Accredited Inspector, NIOSH 582 certified and has completed various asbestos surveys and visual inspections at commercial and residential sites, collecting thousands of regulated building material samples in accordance with AHERA and NESHAP regulations.
Recent Experience: SeaTac International Airport – SSAT HVAC Upgrade Abatement Monitoring, June 2019 - present: On-site Lead Project Monitor / Air Monitoring Technician and point of contact for SSAT HVAC Upgrade Abatement Monitoringconsists of oversight of fireproofing abatement in an occupied airport. Maintains proactive communication with appropriate project staff to ensure contractor’s compliance with specification and regulations during abatement and reports those activities on a daily basis to Port staff. Kyle has worked on projects which require contractor oversight and air monitoring sampling and analysis for 7 years; he is construction savvy and understands plans and specifications completely.
The Port accelerated the work schedule to take advantage of the less active situation with passengers. Kyle, as the Lead Monitor, responded to the multiple and expanded work areas with additional support from our experienced technicians to provide air monitoring, bulk sampling, and PCM analysis onsite during the shifts to reduce downtime from other subs. Work was also extended to overtime shifts in order to execute the abatement on weekends. This shows the depth of our staff and our experienced employees - the average PacRim employment term is 10 years, over our past 30 years, as a local small business.
Kyle provided the Port of Seattle SSAT HVAC Upgrade Abatement Monitoring with a full time cross-trained (AHERA BI, WA DOC Certified Lead Inspector, NIOSH 582) onsite air monitoring monitors(s) and has set up an on-site laboratory, with microscope for PCM, providing real-time readings. Kyle’ monitoring reports are uploaded at completion of each shift and detailed enough that RMM Port personnel understand what activities have been completed by the abatement contractor. PacRim has maintained the same monitor through the course of this project and provides additional support as needed by other trained and Port experienced personnel.
