Pacific Rim Environmental (PacRim) was originally hired as part of our client’s due diligence team, responsible for evaluating and assessing the potential cost associated with hazardous material abatement in a large, multi-parcel acquisition in the Denny Triangle area of Seattle. Our survey and report were used as a basis for negotiations with the existing property owners.
PacRim’s original scope of work was then broadened to include hazardous material “good faith” inspections for regulated asbestos, lead paint , universal waste and other materials of concern (mercury, PCB, heavy metals, etc). Our services were also retained to prepare abatement design documents, build a cost-effective abatement plan, and prepare bid forms and evaluations.
This project requires that we work with multiple industry professionals—there has been a different general contractor for each block of this project—oversee a plethora of abatement contractors, and provide active project management to multiple, on-going, large projects in one of the busiest districts in the Seattle area. The project started in 2012 and will conclude in 2018.
