Scope Of Work
Built-in 1969, Chase Tower is a 60-story skyscraper located in Chicago’s central Loop. In June of 2016, JPMorgan Chase selected Berglund Construction to provide preconstruction services for the Storefront Refurbishment Project at their building.
The primary purpose of the preconstruction efforts was to establish a “Guaranteed Maximum Price” for the project. The two-year endeavor chiefly involved restoring the curtainwall system that spans from the building’s ground floor to the underside of the third floor.
As part of this process, Berglund was asked to be a creative team member and to work closely with the owner and the architect to accomplish the owner’s business objectives. Berglund helped define the program and scope of the project through regular meetings with the project stakeholders.
