Testimonials
The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles came to Castle Window Covers in need of window soundproofing, UV protection, preservation of historic windows, and climate control to keep utility costs at a minimum. After we installed our acrylic window system throughout the historic windows of the museum, we also installed our commercial window roller shades to help with the ambience inside. Here's what they had to say after the project was completed:
As the president of the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles and a contractor with over 30 years of experience, I have nothing but praise for both the products and service that Castle Window Covers has provided to our museum project.
The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles is located in an historic building on Main St. in Los Angeles. We needed a product that would control noise, UV light, dust and thermal efficiency without disturbing our historic windows. Castle Window Covers’ magnetized acrylic window system was the perfect solution for all of those needs. It achieved all of our performance goals and is virtually unnoticeable to the eye. In fact, I liked the product so much that I also had the Castle Window Covers team install them in my home.
Along with the acrylic window system, Castle Window Covers also provided and installed high-quality window shades that allow us to easily control visible light in the museum.
A home built with adobe bricks in 1840 by Rafael Estrada, Casa Soberanes is perched on a hillside in Monterey overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay. In 1860, the Soberanes family purchased the home and lived there until 1922. The home was then purchased by the Serrano family who restored it in the 1920s and 1930s.
Casa Soberanes contains beautiful and historical furnishings, including early New England pieces, China trade pieces and historical Mexican folk art. Castle Window Covers is proud to be a major part in helping to preserve the antique windows within Casa Soberanes and everything else inside the structure.
"The Castle Windows acrylic covers are already proving their worth. Since being installed in Casa Soberanes, the temperature and relative humidity levels in the museum have been stable and the sound reduction from street noise has been reduced to virtually nothing. I originally chose your product for the elimination of ultra-violet light entering the historic adobe, however the added benefits of your product are a preservation bonus."
The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles is located in the Italian Hall and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. We restored the original windows and we also needed to protect the exhibit from UV rays and to soundproof the space.
Castle Window Covers was the best solution and we didn't have to modify the structural integrity of the building.
