Jim Like's Bio
Lawrence Technological University, B.S., Civil Engineering
Jim Like provides executive oversight of Christman Constructors, Inc.'s management and labor. He joined CCI in 2012 as vice president, bringing extensive experience in industrial contracting. Throughout his career, Like has provided oversight of labor relations, implemented a company-wide safety program and was instrumental in implementing risk management practices and lean manufacturing processes. As a 30-year veteran of the construction industry, he is an experienced leader with expertise in managing risk, controlling costs and delivering a quality product to the client. He is a past president of the Associated General Contractors of Michigan (AGC) and currently serves as vice chairman of the AGC Labor Relations Division. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a pension trustee for the Carpenters and Cement Masons and a member of the CCI board of directors.
John A. Holmstrom's Bio

John leads the Industrial and Power Group and is also responsible for oversight of major special projects and strategic initiatives of Christman. He joined Christman in 1987, holding a variety of positions of increasing responsibility including project engineer, superintendent, project manager, and estimator. He became a full-time estimator in 1993 and was promoted to chief estimator in 1995 and vice president in 1999. He was appointed to Christman's board of directors in 2005. John was promoted to the position of senior vice president in 2008, is a member of Christman's board of directors, and was appointed to Christman's executive committee in 2016.

Beth A. Yorke's Bio

Licensed Architect
Since joining Christman in 2018, Beth has been a key contributor to successes in the Southeast Michigan region. As a licensed architect and experienced construction manager and former construction project manager at Cranbrook, she has worked on all sides of the design and construction process. Beth’s diverse industry experience makes her equally adept at managing construction teams and owner relationships. Her relationships extend beyond Christman as well, previously serving on the Deans Advisory Board at her alma mater University of Detroit Mercy, as Commissioner on the State of Michigan’s Bureau of Construction Codes, and as Board Member (and past president) of the American Institute of Architects, Detroit Chapter.
Bobby Morrison's Bio

With over 14 years in the construction industry, Bobby takes on the leadership of directing some of Christman's largest, most challenging projects in the DC Metro region. Bobby is known for his integrity, relationship-building skills and passion for helping clients achieve their goals, and has been instrumental with recruiting, estimating, training and developing, and strategic planning in the DC Metro region. He joined Christman in 2013 as senior project manager and was promoted to project executive in 2019.
Chad Clark, A.C's Bio

Chad began his Christman career in 2001 as a project engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University. With his ability to deliver project after successful project, Chad had earned steady advancement along the way. Chad is often recognized for his significant leadership and mentoring skills. He is known for having a great balance of effective analytical and people skills, earning trust and respect from industry partners as well as all who work with him. He ensures that his award-winning teams excel at all of their assignments, from incredibly complex projects (e.g. Michigan Capitol project series, the Accident Fund Headquarters project, or the Board of Water & Light’s REO Town Plant) to smaller but challenging and technically nuanced process projects (e.g. State of Michigan Cogeneration project). He also led a client expansion program following the vision of “our building as our brand” at Lake Trust Credit Union. Chad is also passionate about supporting the local community and actively facilitates many of our Be Constructive initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity building projects and partnering with Sparrow Health Foundation as a "Dapper Dad."

Craig has been with Christman since 2000 when he joined us as a project engineer on the St. Mary’s of Mid-Michigan Surgery Expansion project and has steadily risen through the ranks, leading a wide variety of successful projects, including the Henry Ford Allegiance Health Inpatient Addition, Sparrow Health System Plaza Building and Cancer Center, Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority Library Lane Parking Structure, and Detroit Public Schools Gompers Elementary-Middle School and Amelia Earhart Elementary-Middle School. His expertise and passion in the healthcare market, paired with his experience in nearly all of our markets, has given him a greater expertise in the industry as he collaborates with partners to bring the vision of each project to fruition. Craig is known for his integrity and problem-solving mindset, and natural leadership abilities.

As a Christman project executive, Dan provides high-level oversight to multiple projects. Dan has been in the construction industry for more than 20 years and has worked on a variety of award-winning building projects, giving him a multifaceted understanding of the industry. Dan is a proactive problem-solver, great relationship builder and strong leader, and his broad understanding of our processes from a variety of vantage points gives him a big-picture perspective that clients, architects, trade contractors, and other partners can all appreciate. Dan acts as Christman's Southeast Michigan training leader and is actvely involved in the company's mentorship program.
Jeff Arlington's Bio

Jeff serves as a project leader in our Knoxville, Tennessee office. He brings over 30 years of hands-on construction expertise, joining the company as a project engineer in 1994 after working on construction projects as a laborer, layout engineer, and field manager. He was subsequently promoted to project executive in 2006, and to vice president in 2008. His exceptional managerial strengths include his aptitude for maintaining tight project controls, his ability for successfully building positive client and partner relationships, and his adeptness in reviewing projects from both the perspective of the field and the client. Jeff has distinguished the company’s project portfolio – especially those in higher education and historic preservation – with a long list of successes, including national awards for project excellence.

As project executive, Jeff takes on the leadership of directing some of Christman's largest, most challenging projects. His civil engineering background gives him a keen eye for the physical details, while his extensive background in significant healthcare, higher education and science and laboratory facilities gives him the large-picture perspective needed to successfully deliver projects with high demands and many moving parts. Jeff is known equally for his integrity, relationship-building skills and passion for helping clients achieve their goals. In 2002, Jeff was awarded the first-ever Christman Way Cornerstone Award, the company's highest honor in recognition of employee excellence in representation of its core values. A 27-year construction veteran, Jeff joined Christman in 1994 as a project manager an estimator, was promoted to senior project manager in 2005, and to project executive in 2012.

Joe Luther came to Christman in late 2008, joining us as a project engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from MSU, where he graduated in the Top 10 in his program. Joe has amassed an impressive resume of major projects, including work on the Accident Fund national headquarters, multiple Detroit Public Schools projects, and his current leadership of the work at the General Services Administration Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Joe focuses on forging lasting team relationships and establishing a future playbook for maintaining momentum in the face of significant challenges. Known for honoring commitments with not only integrity but patience and good humor as well as being one of the biggest “tech nerds” on site, Joe sets the example for work ethic, positive energy and consistently exceptional outcomes.
Paul Yambor's Bio

As a project executive in Christman's southeast Michigan office, Paul provides leadership on complex projects throughout the Detroit area, with experience that includes the 985 Michigan Avenue Building Modernization, University of Michigan Central Power Plant Expansion and Switchgear Upgrade, and Book Tower Mixed-Use Development, as well as the recently completed and award-winning Flint Capitol Theater Restoration. With 20 years in the construction industry, Paul has extensive experience in leading large and complex construction projects in higher education, industrial, transportation, and other key markets. Paul is also a member of the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) and a mentor in Grow Detroit’s Young Talent Internship Program. Paul joined Christman in 2015 as senior project manager and was promoted to project executive in 2019.

Rob joined Christman in 2011 and has become a go-to expert for delivering high-profile projects with repeat clients and complex K-12 projects. Rob thrives in an ever-changing environment and he is able to make decisions quickly to keep projects moving forward. Prior to joining Christman, Rob spent eight years in the United States Army, where he was selected as commander of the only Technical Rescue Engineer Company in the Department of Defense. In 2021, he was awarded the Christman Way Cornerstone Award, the company's highest honor in recognition of employee excellence in representation of its core values. Rob is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Mid-Michigan chapter, he is a board member for Michigan State University’s Executive MBA Alumni Association, and he is a board member for the Lansing Parks Foundation.
Ronald D Staley's Bio

Ron serves as principal in charge of both Christman's Southeast Michigan business unit located in Detroit and the company's historic preservation unit, having returned to Michigan after establishing Christman's Washington, D.C. operations in 2003. Joining Christman as a project manager in 1985, Ron was promoted to Christman vice president in 1990, and to Christman's board of directors in 1995. In 1992, he founded Christman's historic preservation group and has since led it to national prominence, directing multiple, highly visible preservation projects to national, state and local awards for teamwork, unique delivery methods and quality. He brings to all his projects a strong background in management systems, understanding of early project planning, pre-construction and design services, and successful construction delivery. In 2000, Ron was honored by AIA Michigan as an Honorary Affiliate Member and in 2005, was appointed as Fellow with the Association of Preservation Technology International (APT). Ron was promoted to the position of senior vice president in 2008, and is a member of Christman's board of directors.

Ryan serves as principal in charge in Christman's mid-Atlantic office, leading project teams to success in both the public and private sectors. An expert in planning, scheduling, risk management, and coordinating the efforts of all team members, Ryan constantly focuses on finding ways to deliver greater value to clients. As a licensed professional engineer with bachelors and masters degrees in engineering, Ryan has exceptional technical expertise required for the largest and most complex, challenging projects. His experience at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and later in the US Army Corp of Engineers, helped develop him into a leader of character that is dedicated to honoring all commitments with integrity and ensuring that his projects are delivered safely, on-time and within budget, with outstanding results for clients. Ryan joined Christman in 2005 as a project engineer, was promoted to senior project manager in 2011, to project executive in 2013, and to vice president in 2015. Ryan was also instrumental in the establishment of Christman's federal projects group in 2011.

As a project executive in southeast Michigan, Sam is known for his ability to listen to the client, architect and engineer to effectively incorporate the design intent and vision of the client and convey ideas to the project team. Sam has been in the construction industry for 19 years and has worked on a variety of building projects, giving him a multifaceted understanding of the industry. Sam has a wide variety of project experience, including Chelsea Community Hospital Bed Replacement Program, Eastern Michigan University Mark Jefferson Science Building Addition and Renovation, General Services Administration Vance Federal Court Building Renovation, and Lansing Board of Water and Light REO Town Plant. Sam joined the company in 2004 as a project manager and was promoted to project executive in 2014.

As vice president in Christman's mid-Atlantic office, Tom is responsible for directing both key historic renovation and new construction projects there. His training and experience in design and construction administration make him particularly adept at pre-construction planning services during the early phases of our projects. As a trained architect, LEED-accredited professional and highly-competent construction manager, Tom's broad range of skills have enabled him to bring great added value to our clients' projects. He joined Christman as project manager in 2000, was promoted to project executive in 2006, and promoted to vice president in 2017. In addition to directing historic preservation in the mid-Atlantic region, Tom also heads up the technical resources and training of historic preservation personnel for Christman's national historic preservation group. Tom has served on the board of the Association for Preservation Technology since 2013 and now serves as the treasurer and is a member of their College of Fellows.

Troy has a wide range of experience with many market segments and many locations throughout the world including nine states and four countries. Troy is an excellent problem solver with the ability to lead skilled teams and resolve issues quickly and clearly. Troy has abundant experience with difficult projects with very tough schedules and budgets. His varied background, strong organizational skills and work ethic make him a productive member that can lead any project team to success. Troy first started working for Christman in 1989 and is involved in a number of projects in central Michigan including MSU Boiler Project, TechSmith office headquarters, SE Michigan Vic Village South and is also working with the Indianapolis team on the Indy FedEx Hub expansion project.

As the business development manager for Christman's mid-Atlantic region, Justin uses his outstanding communication and relationship building skills to enter new markets, increase Christman's visibility in the region and foster lasting relationships with clients and partners alike. Justin’s previous work as a project superintendent in the region allows him to implement strategic planning and utilize his intimate knowledge of the construction process to better serve his clients’ needs. Justin is known for his passion of building lasting relationships among clients, partners and subcontractors, a key value for The Christman Company. Mary brings over 25 years of business development and marketing experience in a variety of construction markets, including healthcare, higher education and commercial facilities. She joined Christman in 2013 after 24 years in similar roles with another large commercial builder in Detroit.
