Scope Of Work
Our firm led a team that designed and constructed Virginia Tech’s first parking garage, a four-and-a-half-story, pre-cast facility accommodating 1,350 cars. This project was prominently located at Perry Street which acts as a major thoroughfare for students, faculty, and visitors. This project was constructed to meet the growing demands for parking at the University’s academic core.
The structure includes several architectural features like recessed stair and elevator towers, limestone finished precast panels, and Virginia Tech’s signature “Hokie Stone”. This project was also designed in the spirit of an environmentally responsible building. The structural efficiencies allow for open spaces to maximize natural ventilation and day lighting.
