Scope Of Work
rand* was brought onto the Centrolina project after another general contractor had poured the concrete slab and ordered the mechanical equipment to deliver the turnkey solution to Chef Amy Brandwein’s culinary vision. The $1M CityCenterDC build-out is part restaurant/eatery and part gourmet market, catering to what the client coins as “the chef’s approach to food.”
The challenge of delivering a full open kitchen with a terracotta-clad wood burning oven and 52-seat dining area alongside a retail marketplace for high-end grocery items in only 12 weeks was met by the rand* team, who hit the ground running by immediately teaming with the client. rand* coordinated with her team of selected vendors in the creation of the project schedule and trade sequence to deliver the work on an effective schedule without compromising the design or functionality of the space. The ‘mercato e osteria’ features an open floor plan and natural finishes reminiscent of wood, stone, and sunlight. rand* delivered the project on time and within budget.
