Linda Rabbitt founded rand* construction corporation in 1989, and was one of only a few women in the industry at that time. What began as a small firm in Arlington with seven employees has now grown into a national operation with revenues exceeding $300 million annually.
We specialize in ground-up construction, building renovations, historic restoration and interior build outs. Our long standing relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors and the culmination of our efforts have translated into award winning work. We are honored to be recognized annually by the Washington Building Congress, the Associated Builders and Contractors, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. rand* is also extremely proud to have been recognized since 2004 as a ‘Best Places to Work’ by The Washington Business Journal and The Washingtonian.
rand* was one of the first companies to participate in the USGBC Pilot Projects in 2001, and with over 60 LEED professionals, we are an industry leader in best practices and BIM technology. We strive beyond our association and community involvement by being an activist for LEED education and making a difference in our A/E community.
At rand*, we have a family culture. We come from diverse places and backgrounds but share the same principal and goal set forth decades ago – to deliver and exceed expectations.
rand* is the only Certified Business Owner (CBE) contractor in the DC area and has been certified as a Small, Woman and Minority-Owned (SWAM) by the Commonwealth of Virginia and by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
