Scope Of Work
Goodwin Court is a mixed-use, four-story complex in the heart of downtown Pendleton, Oregon, that was completed in 2002. The site was acquired by the City of Pendleton in 1999 after a fire destroyed the former 99-Cent Store. The street level has been developed into retail and office space. The top three floors have been developed into 26 Section 42 affordable apartments, with 12 one bedroom and 14 studio apartments. There is a meeting room on the second floor, open plaza level. The new building features arched windows and a brick facade that blends with neighboring historic buildings. In 2003, Goodwin Court received a Downtown Achievement Award from the Oregon Downtown Development Association. The ground floor commercial space facing Main Street was customized during construction to meet specific needs, and the residential units face inward to an open plaza, lined with greenery and benches.
