Watkins Nurseries, Inc.

We are a wholesale and retail tree nursery, plant center, and landscape design firm established in 1876.  While we do have several farms across the central Virginia area, our office is located in Midlothian, Virginia, just west of Richmond.

Our company specializes in field-grown trees and shrubs that we produce on over 500 acres of farm land. We grow a wide selection of deciduous shade trees, ornamental trees, and evergreens that we dig and ship to our customers up and down the east coast throughout the year. In addition to growing quality field stock, we also maintain an in-house landscape department. The Watkins landscape department has been designing residential and commercial spaces in the greater Richmond area for over 40 years and has completed projects in places such as Maymont Park, Busch Gardens, Phillip Morris and Kanawha Plaza.We were honored to be selected for the  redesign and refreshing of the Longwood University grounds for the 2016 Vice-Presidential Debates.

Not only do we grow and install plants, the last decade has been spent growing our business as well. These additions to our repertoire include numerous products and services such as hardscapes, container plants, and bulk materials. We have also expanded our customer base and are now open to the public as well as to contractors and landscapers.
