More than two decades of experience
Mr. O’Brien spent eight years dedicated to the contaminated soil
industry. He has held sales positions with the two companies who were
pioneers in the thermal treatment of petroleum contaminated soil.
His first position with Soil Recycling Technologies in Hunt Valley,
Maryland was in a sales and sales support role. With no experience in
the environmental field, Mr. O’Brien was asked to develop and expand
the existing sales base while developing new markets to supply the
firms recycling facilities. Mr. O’Brien left SRTI and headed up the
sales duties at Clean Earth of New Castle in New Castle, Delaware.
While in this position, Mr. O’Brien expanded the client base and
developed new markets for the Delaware facility. He was responsible
for all lead generation and shared many of the project management
duties. In his four years with the company, he grew sales by 100%.
After leaving Clean Earth, Mr. O’Brien partnered with George Dalphon
and started Beneficial Soil Solutions, Inc. Beneficial Soil Solutions
specializes in the transport and disposal of hazardous and non
hazardous soil. Mr. O’Brien is responsible for all the sales functions
of this company and has developed this startup firm into an industry leader.
Mr. O’Brien has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mt. St. Mary’s
College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is a member of numerous
professional organizations dedicated to environmental concerns. Mr.
O’Brien is vice president of newly formed Beneficial Soil Savers, LLC,
a marketing company dedicated to innovative technologies for soil
treatment and reuse of waste materials.
