Iannelli Construction Co., Inc.’s roots date back to 1912 when Vincent Iannelli, grandfather of current Secretary Vincent Iannelli and President Thomas Iannelli, got his start inconstruction.

In the 1920s he became a major developer of single family homes in Flatbush neighborhood of Brookyln, NY. During the depression of the 1930s and 1940s, he kept the company in operation doing work for the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation and various banks by maintaining their distressed properties.

At the end of World War II, Vincent’s sons Jim and Al joined the firm upon completing their military service and changed the company’s concentration from private to public work. Working primarily for the New York City Board of Education, the Department ofGeneral Services and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Jim and Al built one of the most respected public works companies in New York City.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Jim’s sons, Vincent Iannelli, Jr. and Tom Iannelli, joined thecompany. Together, Vincent and Tom have taken the company to even greater heights. Iannelli Construction, Co., Inc. is recognized in the industry as one of the top public works contractors in the area. Vincent and Tom have not forgotten their roots as a family-owned business and continue to operate based on the values they learned from their grandfather, father and uncle dating back one hundred years
