James F. Giannini & Associates

Bob is the grandson of JFG’s founder, Jim Giannini. He was honored to take over the role as President following Jim’s passing in 2013. Bob graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He became a Professional Engineer in 2007 and a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. Following in his Grandfather’s footsteps, Bob currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Share Foundation. With 15 years of industry experience, $500M of construction projects built, and over 1,000 residential units in place, Bob has the experience needed to successfully execute your project from start to finish.

Alison is a results-oriented design professional with over 10 years of experience serving the construction and engineering industries. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Organizational Communication, and recently received a Certificate in Interior Design from The School of the Art Institute in Chicago. In addition to interior design, she also manages the company's business development efforts, marketing material, office procedures, and supports the design team.

Bob began working with Jim Giannini following his high school graduation in 1970 and has been a valuable part of the company ever since. Bob graduated from Purdue University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology and an Associate Degree in Construction Technology. He is very active in the community and has been involved with and held offices for numerous local associations including The Lions Club, Dyer Plan Commission, Dyer Board of Zoning and Appeals, and Dyer Town Council where he served two terms as President. Bob has designed hundreds of projects in over 40 years with JFG. His design and preconstruction expertise ensure your project is a success.

Jerry is a Purdue graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of numerous industry associations including American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Wood Council (AWC), and Portland Cement Association (PCA). He also serves on the advisory board for Ivy Tech College's Design Technology Program. Jerry's engineering background and drafting skills make him a well-rounded and integral part of our design team.

Mark is a Purdue graduate with over 65 years of construction and engineering experience. Mark’s career began working for his family’s construction business, Stern & Son, in 1949. After graduating from Purdue in 1953 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, he left for two years of service in the Army, where he worked as the chief construction surveyor and design draftsman for an air field construction unit. From 1955-1994, as a partner in his family’s firm, Mark managed a variety of construction projects while also serving as structural engineer on many of them. In 1994, Mark became principal of his own consulting engineering firm, Mark J. Stern & Associates, specializing in structural engineering services for architects, property owners, and design/build contractors. He is active in many professional associations including, but not limited to, Northwest Indiana Contractor’s Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Indiana Structural Engineers Association. In November 2017, Mark began working in JFG’s Chesterton office where he continues to serve his clients as well as mentor the other engineers in the office. His depth of experience and knowledge is invaluable, and JFG is proud to have him as part of the team.
