Chris’s love affair with construction dates to his childhood when his father would take him to watch the development of the Interstate 71 interchange near his childhood home. A fascination with building things continued into his teen years as he and his friends built an entire skatepark in their driveway. Starting in the commercial construction industry as a warehouse hand at seventeen years old, he quickly moved to learning the carpentry trade under the tutelage of his Uncle’s Doug & Shawn as well as numerous other journeyman carpenters who recognized his thirst for knowledge. Following five years as a field carpenter, he transitioned to the office and worked as a project engineer underneath two seasoned Project Manager’s for a commercial General Contractor. With the arrival of the Great Recession, Chris, his Father and his Uncle Shawn all found themselves without a job, but with a wealth of experience between them. From humble beginnings in a small apartment being used as an office, Abundant Construction Service’s grew into the regional contractor working throughout the Mid-West and East Coast regions it is today. Over the years, Chris has obtained his degree in Construction Management as well as numerous OSHA, BWC, and private training certifications. When not at work, Chris is the President of the Spartan Athletic Boosters at Saint Peter’s Schools, as well as being involved in the Knights of Columbus. His free time is spent cheering on the Buckeye’s and camping with his wife Alexis and their three children, Jocelyn, Alexia and Parker.
