Brian Byrne's Bio
As Chairman, Brian is involved in corporate strategy and collaborating on development projects.
Brian is an engineering graduate of Marquette University and founded Briohn Building Corporation in 1979. Brian started the company at his kitchen table acting as a salesman, an engineer who drew plans, a project manager, and a field superintendent.
Brian’s extensive knowledge of all facets of construction has been instrumental in creating and maintaining a successful design/build construction company. His dedication to quality construction and satisfied clients has been fundamental in creating the customer relationships Briohn prides itself on.
Brian has been married to his wife Cellene for nearly 50 years and together they have six daughters. Brian and Cellene lead by example when it comes to serving their community. They are active members of Legatus and have been members of St. Dominic Catholic Church & School for the last 35 years serving the parish in many capacities, including the creation of the girl’s athletic program. Brian has coached dozens of teams over the years, volunteering countless hours of gym and field time. Brian and Cellene support the St. Francis Seminary and have provided scholarships for Women in Engineering at Marquette University. Cellene sits on the Board of the Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin, is active in Women for MACC and supports a variety of women’s initiatives. In their free time, Brian and Cellene enjoy golfing at Blue Mound Country Club and Bonita Bay Club.
Cary Bilicki's Bio
As Vice President of Construction, Cary works with our clients and subcontractors to manage projects in a variety of industries, including industrial, retail, health care, office and salons.
Cary Bilicki joined Briohn Building Corporation team in early 2006 as a Senior Project Manager. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and studied in the areas of Construction Administration, Risk Management and Real Estate. Twenty years of experience has given Cary an extensive understanding of all aspects of the commercial construction process.
As a project manager, Cary is responsible for overall project definition; management and delivery from project conceptualization through construction and project close out. Cary's significant contributions to the Company, through hard work and professionalism, along with his success and dedication as a Senior Project Manager, paved the way for his advancement to Vice President.
When he’s not working, Cary enjoys traveling with his family, volunteering at church and doing home remodeling projects. Cary and his family are also very active with the Milwaukee Area Families with Children from China and the Cricket Academy.
Nelson Williams's Bio
As CEO and Majority owner of the Briohn Companies, Nelson leads the operations of Briohn Building Corporation and Briohn Design Group.
Prior to assuming leadership of Briohn, from Brian Byrne in 2011, Nelson directed Briohn's Sales and Marketing efforts. In addition to more than 10 years of construction-industry experience, Nelson's diverse background includes international supply chain consulting and technology project-management. He focuses on ensuring the highest standards of project delivery while staying attuned with client needs through diligent customer service. Nelson leads many of the development efforts of the firm, working on build-to-suit projects with our customers.
Nelson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he studied Business and Sociology. He was captain of UW Varsity Rowing Team and was a USRowing All-American. Nelson lives in Elm Grove with his wife, Katy, and their young children. He is passionate about outdoor sports and activities and giving back to the community through charitable organizations and events. Nelson is active in YPO (The Wisconsin Chapter of Young Presidents Organization), The Vince Lombardi Cancer Funds, Southeast Wisconsin Adaptive Ski Program, Westmoor Country Club, The American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, Friends of Wisconsin Rowing, and adoption related causes.
