Our Story

H. Barron Iron Works, Inc. started as a sole proprietorship by Henry L. Barron and has been in business since 1954. Henry L. Barron was a welder for New York Ship Yard in Camden, New Jersey. With five children to provide for he needed to supplement his income. He began making iron step railings and installing them for customers. Soon, the company grew, providing him with enough work fulltime.

By 1963, he had 9 children, he added the installation of chain link fence and gates to the fold. With the reputation of quality service the business increasingly grew by adding commerical and industrial accounts along with residential.

In 1975, fabrication and erection of miscellaneous iron, including iron stairs and platforms were added to the work done by the company. Also, structural steel for buildings were fabricated and erected.

In 1980, installation of pre-engineered buildings started. Five pre-engineered buildings were installed at the now closed Garden State Race Track. Also, this was the year when H. Barron Iron Works, Inc. became incorporated in the state of New Jersey.

Presently, the second generation owners are Henry's sons, Dennis J. Barron and Michael E. Barron. The company continues to provide quality service to the Tri-state area for individual homeowners to large corporations.
