Alex Parslow's Bio
Alex brings more than 20 years' experience as an advocate for many California school districts on a full range of services including master planning, asset management, funding programs and construction. As a Principal, she has responsibility for providing leadership on K-12 issues in California for the firm.
Alex has served as a Governing School Board Member and President for the Charter Oak Unified School District Foundation, has been Chair of two successful facility bond campaigns totaling $77 Million and spent four years as the CEO for a non-profit education foundation. As a graduate from the first C.A.S.H. Leadership Academy and now serving as a C.A.S.H. Board Member, Alex represents the maintenance and operations area, bringing local knowledge with a comprehensive approach.
Dan Boggio's Bio
Dan is the founding Partner, President, and CEO of PBK. He has been practicing architecture since 1975 and has built PBK from a one-man architectural firm into one of the nation’s largest multi-disciplined planning and design firms. His prominent stature in the planning and design profession has been achieved by implementing unique, innovative programs and services that have resulted in a more broadened and enhanced role of architects throughout the country. Dan has made numerous contributions to the architectural profession, including the design of a master planning system for evaluating needs at existing facilities for successful bond programs; establishing an environmental assessment study for indoor air quality; and designing a Facility Upkeep and Preventative Maintenance Program for long-range capital improvement planning. Dan serves as a guest lecturer at numerous conferences and workshops throughout the United States.
As President & CEO of PBK, Dan has structured the firm’s business approach and operational philosophy around a die-hard commitment to “obsessive” client service. Having grown to one of the United States’ largest architecture and engineering practices, PBK offers a comprehensive host of professional planning and design services to clients across the country. While under Dan’s direction, PBK has achieved a solid reputation of high integrity, strong work ethic and a commitment to design excellence.
Darrell Pearson's Bio
For more than 25 years, Darrell's leadership experience in the architectural profession has consisted of direction and oversight of a multifaceted array of planning, design and construction projects spanning the K-12, higher education, government and private development market sectors. He has directed the planning and design efforts for projects ranging from less than $100,000 to more than $90,000,000 in construction value, accounting for more than 12 million square feet.
As a Partner and Senior Client Executive in charge of PBK's Austin, Texas office, Darrell's responsibilities range from client relationship management to the management of all aspects of major projects through all phases of design and project management. His involvement ensures project success from pre-planning through project close-out. Darrell draws upon the skills of a very talented team to create strong working relationships resulting in the delivery of high quality projects that effectively combine creativity and economy.
Eric Smith's Bio
Eric’s architectural career spans more than 20 years and more than $2 billion dollars in construction costs. He has extensive experience in every aspect of a project including long-range master planning, facility condition assessments, pre-planning, design, preparation of contract documents, as well as construction administration.
Eric possesses vast knowledge of cost estimating with various construction delivery types and techniques. His experience in the general contracting industry gives him a unique knowledge and understanding of project scheduling, management, tendering, supplier contracting, as well as feasibility of construction techniques and local crafts. Eric is a member of the AIA, TSA, USABCC, the Association for Learning Environments (formerly CEFPI), and serves as a guest lecturer at conferences throughout the United States.
Jorge Tiscareno's Bio
As a Principal at PBK, Jorge guides projects through architectural programming, design conception and design development. He is involved in every phase of design of a project coordinating and incorporating design intent into construction documentation. Jorge brings a practical, client-focused perspective to architectural challenges that support client expectations. Jorge’s present work spans across Texas and state lines, establishing a diverse portfolio of corporate, educational and athletic facilities. His educational projects have achieved numerous awards along with national recognition.
Juan Lopez's Bio
As Principal in charge of design for PBK Sports, Juan has extensive experience in planning, creating and achieving dynamic, world-class athletic venues for both competitors and spectators. He specializes in facilitating design through an extremely inclusive, collaborative process that showcases multiple solutions to accomplish clients' unique visions and goals.
Juan's experience ranges from long-range master planning of comprehensive sports complexes to design of individualized competition and sport support facilities at every level of competitive play.
Lorin Pargoud's Bio
Lorin’s extensive experience in educational facilities includes elementary, junior high, and high school programming and design. His responsibilities at the firm include construction documentation, coordination, and administration. Through strong communication and organizational skills, Lorin is an expert at multi-project coordination. As a Principal, he is reliable in maintaining a strong client/architect relationship, often serving as the day-to-day liaison between owner and project team.
Richard Chi's Bio
Richard has been with PBK since 1990 and serves as the firm’s Corporate Director in charge of the Design Department. His strong commitment to the principles of design excellence with an emphasis on responsiveness and client service has helped earn PBK’s projects both regional and international acclaim.
Under Richard’s design leadership, PBK’s projects have earned more than 300 industry-specific awards for architectural excellence in categories like Sustainability, Value, Design, Innovation and Process of Planning. Throughout his career, Richard has served as a dedicated leader and teacher to his profession, successfully concluding more than 500 projects for more than 200 clients across multiple market sectors.
Ron Bailey's Bio
A member of the PBK team since 1985, Ron offers vast experience in long-range facilities master planning, design, and project management. His project experience includes hundreds of individual project commissions for varying clients spanning the corporate, commercial, and K-12 education market sectors. He has also effectively managed teams to successfully facilitate more than 20 comprehensive capital improvement programs that, collectively, have accounted for the implementation of more than $500 million dollars in construction costs.
Ron serves as the day-to-day senior client executive in coordination with project managers, architects and engineering consultants.
Roy Montalbano's Bio
Roy’s professional experience and leadership capabilities reflect mastery of long-range planning efforts, as well as execution of pre-planning, schematic design and construction administration activities for projects of every size and scope in the education, government and corporate market sectors.
Roy has extensive experience working with representatives from State Departments of Emergency Management for the processing of all required documentation, quarterly reports, audit binders and project worksheets necessary to achieve compliance for funding. He has experience managing various project types in multiple states for large energy, oil and gas corporations, as well as implementation of more than $500 million in capital improvement programs for public school districts.
