Vincent Nativo, AIA's Bio
As a steward of the Nativo family legacy, I uphold our esteemed reputation in New York City's general construction and architecture sectors. Since 1996, my professional journey has been marked by dedication, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, continuing a tradition of industry leadership that my family began in 1968. At the core of my approach is a fusion of architectural precision with comprehensive construction expertise, ensuring every project, from commercial projects to non-profit and institutional collaborations, is not just completed but transformed into a landmark of success.
My professional narrative is defined by a diverse portfolio,
encompassing projects for:
Veterans Affairs Medical Center, NYC
Economic Development Corp., NYS OPWDD, NYS OMH, NYC DCAS, NYC Health
and Hospitals Corp., NYC Dept. of Education, NYC Dept. for the Aging,
Dormitory Authority of the State of NY.,
Each project, whether
it's in the realm of restoration, medical, educational, or sustainable
development, is a testament to a legacy of building not just
structures, but communities.
A solid foundation from Pratt Institute, where I graduated with honors in 1996, laid the groundwork for a career marked by continuous growth and learning. My architectural license, obtained in 2005, was the catalyst for founding VSN Architecture, PC, a beacon of innovation in non-profit, hospitality and medical project design. With licenses to practice in both New York and New Jersey, my expertise is underpinned by certifications such as Green Advantage Certified Contractor and Legacy LEED Accredited Professional, reflecting my commitment to sustainable and green building practices.
A fervent advocate for the architectural community, my involvement with the American Institute of Architects, Brooklyn, NY Chapter since 2006, has been a journey of leadership and service, culminating in my tenure as the chapter’s president during their 125th anniversary year. My engagement extends to the Rotary Club of Verrazano and the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn, reflecting a deep-rooted commitment to community service and professional excellence.
My expertise spans across a diverse array of sectors, including but not limited to: hospital renovations, mold remediation, and facilities catering to mental health, developmental disabilities, and learning disabilities. My proficiency in commercial interior projects, schools, and sustainable development showcases a versatile skill set, harmonizing the principles of green building with the demands of modern construction and design.
