Allied Contractors, Inc.

The company was founded in 1944 and incorporated in 1947 by brother in laws, J. Jay Pecora and Andrew Kingan. So far, three generations of the Pecora family have been involved in the Allied Contractors Inc. tradition with more generations to come.

The over 75 people that Allied Contractors employs are considered to be part of the family too. Allied Contractors Inc. instituted a voluntary Profit Sharing Plan when the plans were first permitted by the government. In 1986, the plan was converted to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and the employees now own a substantial percentage of the company stock. Our growth and experience are amplified through the positive attitudes of our dedicated and involved employees.

Baltimore City, Maryland has always been the home of Allied Contractors, Inc. For over 50 years our main office has been located at 204 E. Preston Street in Historic Mount Vernon. At this location we maintain our business office, project management staff, project estimators, drafting staff as well as our licensed professional Landscape Architect and Engineer. The Allied Contractors, Inc. equipment maintenance and material storage yard was located for over 40 years in the Hawkins Point area of Curtis Bay. In the spring of 2013 Allied Contractors, Inc. moved to a brand new equipment maintenance and material storage yard in the Fairfield area of Curtis Bay. Our new facility houses our variety of equipment including cranes, bridge inspection trucks, bucket trucks, dump trucks, loaders and other assorted equipment and materials. The complex also serves as the operations and staging area for our Maintenance of Traffic and Equipment Rental services.
