Our Story
For three generations, customers in Chicago and greater Illinois have turned to A-1 Roofing Co. for quality installation, maintenance and repair of commercial roofing systems.
Family leadership has helped us stay true to the values on which our grandfather founded the company. Our president is Mitchell (Mitch) Rabin, a graduate of the University of Illinois and a Certified Public Accountant. He has been involved with the company since 1980. Vice President David Rabin is also a graduate of the University of Illinois with a C.PA. degree, and has been with A-1 Roofing since 1986.
We are active in the professional community, and our active role helps keep us updated on the latest technology and installation techniques. We are members of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). We are also members of the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA), and Mitch Rabin sat on the Board of Directors for the Association for five years.
We are excited to have reached a milestone that not many companies have achieved. We have survived recessions, a devastating fire in 1990 and a six-inch flood in our offices in 1991, as well as many other obstacles over the years. Our continued growth is a testament to the strength of our resolve and the commitment we have made to quality workmanship. We thank our customers, suppliers, professionals and all the others that have helped us grow our business for a hundred years. Here’s to a hundred more!
A-1 Roofing Co. continues to grow with Chicago by keeping up with the improved technology and installation methods that have transformed the roofing industry. We have also implemented digitized plan review and paperless estimating, which helped us become a greener and more efficient company.
But some things remain the same. We continue the dedication to quality product, professional workmanship, and personal attention that has been our hallmark since 1910.
