Scope Of Work
The North River WWTF serves the City of Harrisonburg, Viriginia and Rockingham County, Virginia. The project increased the capacity of the plant from 12 MGD to 22 MGD and provided the plant with Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) capability to meet DEQ-mandated requirements. All plant services were required to remain online during construction while virtually every process in the facility was renovated and expanded. This delicate phasing and tie-in scheduling required thorough coordination with plant management and operations staff.
