Joseph Kemp's Bio
Joseph Kemp established Kemp's Repair and Remodeling (KRR) in 1978 with a concentration on residential and commercial remodeling in the North Texas and Dallas marketplace. Prior building and management experience can be attributed to the company's participation in various small business programs with the Dallas Housing Authority, the City of Dallas, and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, as well as the acquired knowledge obtained through partnerships developed with key individuals with many years of experience.
Mr. Kemp was appointed in 1991 by the Governor of Texas and served as one of nine statewide Board Members for the Texas Department of Housing and Community affairs for six years. After this successful campaign, Mr. Kemp came back to his passion for construction and continued with the development of KRR as a general contractor, developer, and construction manager with a concentration in multi-family and commercial construction projects.
Under Mr. Kemp's management and direction, KRR has completed 14 developments in the capacity of lead developer and general contractor, each with an average construction cost well over $8 million. He is responsible for the development and overall construction of 2,200 units over the last 10 years, and over 2.3 million square feet of new construction development.
Joseph Bowles's Bio
Joseph Bowles joined KRR in early 2007 as a project manager and later as Vice President of Construction working on multi-family and commercial projects throughout the Texas market. Mr. Bowles has managed and completed more than 300 projects in his 27-year career and has experience in all project delivery applications on private and public sector construction. He has been involved in all phases of project management including development, design and programming, pre-construction, design-build, program management, and construction phase delivery.
Before joining KRR, Mr. Bowles owned his own company and worked as vice president and general manager in the Chicago and Milwaukee marketplace. He is an astute project manager skilled in forecasting, scheduling, and controlling costs of manpower, materials, and equipment. He has specialized expertise as a general contractor and construction manager on vertical and horizontal construction projects on local, state and federal developments.
