Ronald K. Hellman's Bio
Ronald Hellman is President of Hellman Construction. Mr. Hellman oversees all company projects, provides support to all of his project managers, performs the purchasing function of the company and negotiates with subcontractors in order to obtain the best fit for each project. He functions as the actuary of the company and meets regularly with clients to develop construction strategies. Mr. Hellman remains personally involved in all aspects of a project, ensuring all processes are completed above and beyond client expectations. He continues to follow the example set by his father and company founder, Jack Hellman, by always making the time to give personalized attention to every client and displaying honest, high-quality work.
Mr. Hellman began his career as a Project Manager and Project Executive. He later assumed the role of President in the mid-seventies, passionately growing the company beyond its roots in residential and commercial construction by cultivating strong relationships with new clients in the healthcare and education sectors. By expanding the firm's portfolio, Mr. Hellman has successfully guided Hellman Construction through downturns in the economy, and has placed the company in a strong position in the construction industry. Mr. Hellman’s goal is not to be the biggest company, but to be the best. He attributes the company’s success to its team approach to every project.
Mr. Hellman is routinely asked how Hellman Construction has maintained relationships with institutions for over 40 years. “We believe that every day is our first day. We never become complacent. Challenges will always occur, but it is how you deal with these issues that make you a better firm.”
Mr. Hellman has an Associate Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management

Ed Fiorentino's Bio
Ed Fiorentino serves as Project Superintendent at Hellman Construction. Mr. Fiorentino is responsible for timely and cost-effective field coordination, scheduling, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces. Over the years, Mr. Fiorentino has earned a reputation for excellence in management and scheduling.
Mr. Fiorentino has served as Project Superintendent for several large-scale projects, some reaching multi-million dollar budgets. His noteworthy projects include full renovations of the Transfusion Suite and CAT Scan rooms for New York-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York University Medical Center, Harlem Children’s Zone, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York University Hospital for Joint Disease, the Children’s Health Fund, American Museum of Natural History and the Museum of the City of New York. Most notably, Mr. Fiorentino has served as Superintendent for over nine years on projects at New York University Medical Center. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fiorentino served as a Carpenter Foreman for Hellman Construction for five years.
Mr. Fiorentino earned his 10-hour OSHA training certificate and has been a member of the Carpenter Union since 1983. He attended the New York District Council of Carpenters Labor Technical College and is a carpenter by trade.
Mahesh Rana's Bio
Mahesh Rana serves as Junior Project Manager for Hellman Construction. Mr. Rana has assisted in overseeing many projects varying in size and complexity throughout his tenure at Hellman Construction. Some of these projects have been performed at the Montefiore Medical Center, Columbia University Medical Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. His notable accomplishments include the successful completion of the Knowledge Center at the Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library at Columbia University the Foreman Critical Care Unit Suite and the Moses MRI Suite, both for the Montefiore Medical Center. Mahesh received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New York Institute of Technology. Along with his educational experience in Architecture, he is proficient in many digital design programs.
Nicholas Provenzano's Bio
Nicholas Provenzano serves as a construction Project Manager, and has recently completed the multi-million-dollar renovation of the Moses MRI Suite modernization and expansion, located at Montefiore Medical Center’s Moses Campus. Currently, he is overseeing projects with NYU Langone Medical Center. Other projects include the construction of a new Cardiology office suite located in Manhasset, NY, and the Rivergate/Fink Children’s Ambulatory Care Center. As an accomplished construction management professional, his experience includes work with hospitals, schools and institutions. His responsibilities have ranged from managing and supervising all phases of construction projects, from planning, to budgeting, bid preparation, cost estimating, contract negotiations, and scheduling.
Mr. Provenzano has worked directly for the Director of Design and Construction for the Columbia University Medical Center. Some projects included the supervision of off-site medical and dental offices for the School of Public Health and the School of Dentistry, in addition to laboratory and office renovations. He also has an extensive HVAC background, having served as vice president of an HVAC company where he managed projects for the State of New York, City of New York and private clients. Exemplifying exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, he is a true believer that the customer comes first and is highly committed to customer relations. This philosophy fits perfectly with what Hellman Construction is built on, and we are proud to have him on our team. Mr. Provenzano has a degree in Business from St. John’s University.
Pat Simone's Bio
Pat Simone serves as Project Manager at Hellman Construction where he supervises multiple projects from office conversions to conference room and laboratory renovations. Mr. Simone is engaged in pricing renovation projects with associated material and labor costs, coordinating all trades to warrant efficient and timely completion of projects and scheduling work for carpenters and subcontractors.
Mr. Simone has been an integral part of the Hellman Construction team since 1972. During his tenure at Hellman Construction, Mr. Simone was promoted from an apprentice and truck driver to Carpenter Foreman early into his career. Over the years, his client list has grown along with the expansion of Hellman Construction. He has contributed to successful construction projects for several high-profile clients such as New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, Albert Einstein-Jack D. Weiler Hospital and Salvatore Ferragamo. Mr. Simone has completed many noteworthy projects, including the interior renovation of a 12-story addition for UJA-Federation of New York.
Mr. Simone has earned and maintained his OSHA-10 training certificate and was a member of the Carpenters Union.
