J. Keith Poole's Bio
A seasoned business strategist and construction professional, Keith is Trehel Corporation’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. His strategic guidance and oversight ensure that Trehel operates efficiently and achieves its financial and operational goals.
Coming from a family of builders, Keith’s construction experience began at age 14 while working for a general contractor during summer break from school. That first summer lead to the making of a diverse background that has shaped Keith’s unique perspective on business and the people that bring it all together.
Prior to joining Trehel in 2005, Keith owned and managed SafeCon Inc., a business consulting practice with a heavy emphasis on construction risk management, human resources, and operations. Working with Trehel as a client ultimately lead to his current role within the company. Keith holds a degree in health science and credentials in risk management, construction risk and insurance, and health and safety.
J. Neal Workman Jr.'s Bio
Neal Workman is a South Carolina business leader, philanthropist and founder of Trehel Corporation Established in 1982, Trehel was the first to bring design-build to Upstate South Carolina in the 1980s. Neal saw early on the benefit of incorporating the designer and the contractor, minimizing the risk for the owner.
Today, nearly half of all non-residential construction projects use the design-build method. Under Neal’s strategy, Trehel has developed the Better Building Process, a unique delivery method that truly balances function, size, quality aesthetics and cost.
Before Trehel, Neal was an estimator, project manager and senior vice president for general contractor Vector Corporation, from 1973 to 1982. Earlier, he worked as a production-planning manager for Milliken & Co. from 1969-1973.
Neal has served as chairman of Ten at the Top, a nonprofit partnership that aims to enhance economic vitality and quality of life in Upstate South Carolina. Past philanthropic service in leadership roles include the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, Anderson County Economic Development Partnership, Oconee Alliance, South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, Tri-County Technical College and many others.
Neal has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wofford College.
Jack S. Weber's Bio
Jack Weber is executive vice president of project management at Trehel Corporation, a position he’s held since 2000. Jack’s wealth of experience in construction management serves him well as he leads project managers, oversees large-scale projects and creates value for clients through each stage of construction.
An industry veteran, Jack came to Trehel from Triangle Construction, where he conducted competitive bidding and managed quality, cost and safety on every job. Prior to Triangle Construction, Jack owned and managed his own construction company. Jack has helped build several prominent buildings in Greenville, including the American Federal building and the U.S. Shelter Corporation tower. Jack came to Greenville with Metric Constructors, the nonunion branch of J.A. Jones Construction.
Jack has completed two Leadership Breakthrough courses from Rapport Leadership International. He is also a member of the Greenville Chapter of the South Carolina Waterfowl Association and is involved in youth wrestling clubs in Greenville.
Jack earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in building science.
John V. Cox's Bio
John Cox has served as vice president and project manager for Trehel Corporation since 2003. A versatile construction professional with experience in construction management, contract management, budget planning and value engineering, John directs and oversees projects to ensure that all critical objectives are met.
Among the numerous projects John has managed, the Michael S. Brown Village Center at Wofford College received LEED silver certification. The $11.1 million Village Center is a three-story mixed-use building with student loft apartments, meeting space, classrooms and an open, all-glass galleria. The certification recognizes the project’s sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and materials selection.
John earned his bachelor’s degree in building science and management from Clemson University.
Linda Cowart's Bio
Linda Cowart has served as the executive vice president and CFO of Trehel Corporation since 2004. A savvy leader and strategic planner, Linda oversees Trehel’s financial and accounting departments and assists in the development of operational strategy.
In addition to her work at Trehel, Linda is a member of the Women of St. Francis Executive Committee.
A leader in the Upstate business community, Linda is active in a variety of nonprofit organizations. She serves as the president of the South Carolina chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), a position she has held since 2013.
She is also a member of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, Clemson Chamber of Commerce and the Clemson Chapter of Rotary International, and serves on the Community Advisory Board of Palmetto Baptist Easley.
Will W. Huss Jr's Bio
Will W. Huss Jr. is the second president and CEO of Trehel Corporation, a post he has held since December 2007. Under his strategy, Will has spearheaded Trehel’s transformational growth as one of the most distinguished and diversified general contractors in the Southeast.Will began his career with Trehel in 1997. Prior to Trehel, he led projects for Eskridge, Long & Associates, Signature Architects and Blue Ridge Builders. With nearly 25 years of experience in construction and design services, he develops new businesses, markets and service models for Trehel.
Will is a member of the Liberty Fellowship, an incubator of exemplary leadership in South Carolina. He is also a graduate of Leadership Pickens and Leadership Clemson. He has held board appointments with the American Heart Association (Upstate, SC), American Red Cross (Oconee County), Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce, Greenville Tech Foundation, First Citizens Bank Advisory Board, March of Dimes (Pickens County), SHARE Community Action Agency and the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame.
Will earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture at Clemson University where he also did post baccalaureate and graduate studies in construction science and management.
