Schmid Construction, Inc.

Schmid Construction was founded by brothers John and George Schmid in Clermont, Florida on July 1, 2002.  The Schmid brothers are educated professionals with substantial institutional and commercial construction experience having managed projects for world class multi-billion dollar construction firms.  They wanted to take their “big-builder” knowhow and apply it to a more personable, agile, and proactive general contractor firm, hence the start of Schmid Construction.

The majority of the Schmid brother’s institutional experience stems from working on large projects for the State of Florida, Orange County Public Schools, Florida Hospital, and Disney World.  Schmid Construction was able to secure their early projects with medical professionals and an international private boarding school.   As Schmid Construction grew, we were able to attract some of the finest construction talent in Central Florida.  We have project managers and superintendents that have experience with a wide range of specialty areas that include: assisted living facilities, automotive, education, fitness, government, grocery, healthcare, hotel, industrial, multi-family, retail, and skilled nursing facilities. 

In the coming years, we will continue building positive, lasting relationships in the community where we live, work, and play.
