Bobby Campbell's Bio
Bobby Campbell serves as the Atlanta market business unit leader for McCarthy’s Southern Region. Prior to assuming this role, Bobby helped transform the firm’s Houston Division into a high-performing $250 million business with an outstanding team culture and focus on client service. He also was an integral part of the growth of our Houston and Dallas preconstruction teams while positioning himself as a valuable client resource as a leader of the National Preconstruction and Estimating Committee. With more than two decades of industry experience, including estimating, Bobby has been involved in nearly $900 million in projects since joining McCarthy and brings a great understanding of collaboration with project stakeholders. A LEED AP BD+C accredited professional, Bobby also is a Registered Professional Engineer.
Doug Audiffred's Bio
Doug is responsible for the accounting, finance and insurance components of McCarthy including cash management, investments, internal audit financial reporting and risk management. Doug has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, started with McCarthy in 1994 and has served as CFO since 2008. Doug’s community service includes St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf where he serves as finance committee chair and member of their executive committee and board of directors, and also serves on the board of directors of Youth in Need. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Illinois State University.
Jim Stevenson's Bio
A long-time Houston construction leader, Jim Stevenson brings more than 35 years of construction industry experience and leadership to his role as role as president of McCarthy’s Houston Division, including experience in many of the firm’s key markets such as healthcare, education and commercial. Jim's diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.
A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston supporter, Jim currently is serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He is also chairman of an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), which is developing strategy and implementing criteria to create a sustainable craft workforce.
Joe Jouvenal's Bio
Joe is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Southern Region. With more than 21 years of experience, he began with McCarthy as a project engineer and has held multiple field and leadership positions including project manager and project director. In his previous role as executive vice president operations for the Southern Region, he led management on projects in the healthcare, corporate and municipal market sectors.
An active advocate for the industry and workforce development, he also spends time supporting community organizations including Children’s Health of Dallas. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
John Buescher's Bio
As President for McCarthy's Central Region, John oversees McCarthy operations in 29 states east of the Rockies. With nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he worked his way up at McCarthy from assistant project superintendent to project superintendent, project manager, project director and business unit leader prior to assuming his current role. John is a professional mechanical engineer and also holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. John has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
Justin Kelton's Bio
Justin leads all company operations within the Southwest, including Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado. His career with McCarthy began as a laborer on a hospital construction project. After several years in the trades and service in the United States Marine Corps, Justin became a project engineer with McCarthy in 2001. He served as project director, vice president, senior vice president and executive vice president prior his current role. He has been instrumental in developing and expanding the region’s education services, including the launch of Job Order Contracting, and McCarthy's national solar, healthcare, municipal and commercial market sectors. He serves as a board chair of the American Heart Association’s Greater Phoenix Chapter and the Support Sky Harbor Coalition, and also is a member of the Arizona Builder’s Alliance, American Society of Civil Engineers and WESTMARC. Justin earned a civil and environmental engineering degree from Vermont Technical College.
Matt Lawson's Bio
Matt Lawson is responsible for McCarthy legal affairs nationwide. Working with the rest of the McCarthy Legal Department, his responsibilities include legal risk management, coordination of claims resolution, and developing contracting approaches/procedures and field/administrative procedures. Matt began with McCarthy as Region counsel and then associate general counsel prior to assuming his current position as senior vice president/general counsel.
Mike Myers's Bio
Named regional president in January 2018, Mike reports directly to McCarthy President and COO Scott Wittkop. Mike formerly served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Castle Contracting for more than 16 years. During his tenure as COO of Castle, he was responsible for all field and office operations as well as the business development and estimating functions. Under his leadership, Castle has grown to a highly successful business with over 200 employees. After the McCarthy acquisition of Castle in late 2014, Mike became Executive Vice President and a member of the McCarthy Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his relocation to California, Mike was also associated with the ACE Mentor Program of St. Louis, AGC of Missouri, Eastern Missouri Laborers and the Flags of Valor organization.
Mike Bolen's Bio
Mike began his career with McCarthy in 1981 as a carpenter superintendent in Phoenix. He then moved up through the business, serving as director of operations for McCarthy’s Parking Division, executive vice president of operations, senior vice president of construction services and ultimately Pacific Region president prior to assuming his current role. Mike was the first non-McCarthy family member to lead our company as CEO and has been an inspiring leader in our ongoing quest to be the Best Builder in America. Mike graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering, and from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with Master of Fine Arts in Guidance and Counseling.
Paul Erb's Bio
As Executive Vice President for McCarthy in the San Jose/Silicon Valley region, Paul Erb oversees all company services in the South Bay. With more than 18 years of experience in the building industry, Paul has overseen the construction of some of Northern California's marquee projects and worked with a variety of clients including Stanford University, Apple, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California, Berkeley, among others. Known for his skill as a consensus builder focused on forming strong project teams, he is active in a number of industry and community organizations and holds a LEED AP BD+C designation from the United States Green Building Council.
Ray Sedey's Bio
Ray Sedey currently serves as McCarthy chief executive officer. He joined McCarthy in 2000 as a project engineer and moved through a variety of core operations and leadership positions prior to assuming his current role in 2020. Throughout his career, Ray has taken on new challenges, positively impacting client relationships and business results, and creating strategies to drive change and position McCarthy for long-term success.
Passionate about the workforce of the future, Ray serves as the executive sponsor for McCarthy’s national craft initiative, ensuring that McCarthy builds the foundation to attract, hire, develop and engage the next generation of craft professionals. He is also an active instructor and mentor in McCarthy’s leadership development program and advocate for diversity in the industry, with a focus on encouraging and supporting women in construction careers.
Ray displays great passion and commitment to the construction industry, as well as to the community. He plays an active role through his involvement with the American Heart Association, among others, and is also involved with various industry organizations.
Rich Henry's Bio
Rich Henry is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Northern Pacific Region. He has been with McCarthy for his entire career, starting as a project engineer, and then working his way up as project manager, senior project manager, project director and vice president. Rich has worked on a wide variety of projects including hospitals, microelectronics facilities, convention centers, research laboratories and parking structures, and he has also been instrumental in establishing McCarthy as a leader in K-12 and higher education facility school construction.
Rich is an active board member of the California Construction Employers Association and the San Francisco Bay Area Council. In 2013, he was inducted into the Academy of Civil Engineers at the Missouri University of Science & Technology in recognition of his contribution to the construction industry and his community. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the East Bay Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Scott Wittkop's Bio
Scott Wittkop currently serves as the corporate president and chief operating officer for McCarthy, overseeing all operations for the builder's regions and affiliates. In addition to construction operations, he is responsible for all corporate functions including developing new market areas, overseeing employee training, human resources, information technology, risk management, corporate communications and enhancing safety and quality programs.
Scott joined McCarthy as a project engineer in 1986. He has spent the last 26 years moving up through the ranks of the organization, relocating for the company nine times to manage projects around the Central Region. He most recently served as president of the McCarthy Central Region prior to assuming his current role.
Operations
Al Carroll's Bio
Alan Carroll is an Executive Vice President for the firm’s Southern California Region, overseeing McCarthy’s Parking Structure Business Unit in the region. Under his guidance, McCarthy has become the leading parking structure builder in the state, delivering parking solutions for healthcare, commercial, education and government clients.
With nearly 40 years of construction industry experience, Al has spent more than 26 of these with McCarthy, beginning his career as a Preconstruction Director and moving up to his current position. An expert in both traditional general contracting and design-build project delivery, he understands the unique challenges of parking construction projects and brings this expertise to bear on every project.
In addition to his role with McCarthy, Al is a certified member of the Design-Build Institute of America.
Chris Nickle's Bio
As Senior Vice President of Operations for McCarthy in the Southwest, Chris Nickle is responsible for healthcare, renewable energy, parking and other public projects in the region. Since joining McCarthy in 2000, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in complex construction projects with an emphasis on the healthcare sector and public projects. He has also been instrumental in expanding McCarthy’s solar construction team from a total of 21 MW projects in 2010 to more than 600 MW today.
Chris is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, Central Arizona Society for Healthcare Engineering and the Arizona Builders Alliance. In addition, he is a board member for East Valley Partnership. Chris was named one of the “Top 20 under 40” professionals in 2014 by Engineering News-Record Southwest.
John McRitchie's Bio
John McRitchie oversees McCarthy’s Commercial Services and Education Services Business Units in Southern California. This work includes office, airport/transportation, entertainment, water/wastewater, solar, industrial and correctional facilities, as well as K-12 education, community college and higher education throughout the region.
John is focused on providing our clients and partners with skilled, collaborative teams who understand and address their needs. He brings extensive experience in technically complex projects, proven design phase and construction expertise, and commitment to an integrated approach to help deliver projects throughout the region. With nearly 25 years of experience in design integration and construction, he is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In addition, John is actively involved in the community, supporting local charities such as CHOC, Ronald McDonald House, and Taller San Jose, a non-profit providing construction career training to disadvantaged youth.
Patrick Peterson's Bio
As Executive Vice President of Healthcare Services in Southern California, Patrick Peterson oversees all McCarthy healthcare business operations throughout the region. He brings more than 25 years of experience in construction to this role, overseeing a variety of notable healthcare projects including Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Torrance Memorial Medical Center and St. Jude Medical Center during his career. An expert in working efficiently with the California’s Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, Patrick is committed to collaborating closely with all project team members to deliver an exceptional experience for clients, caregivers, patients and communities.

Amy Thompson's Bio
Amy Thompson is Director of Business Development for McCarthy’s Central Division based in Omaha, Neb. In this role, she is responsible for developing new and maintaining existing client relationships in Nebraska and western Iowa.
Amy began her career in advertising and marketing in the finance and tech industries, moving on to a client service role in the AEC industry. She has more than a decade of experience working with both contractors and designers, bringing a strong understanding of the complete design and construction process. Most recently, she spent the past seven years at Leo A Daly in Omaha focused on healthcare business development.
In 2016 Amy was chosen for Building Design & Construction’s 40 under 40 Award, honoring top professionals in the industry. She is active in the community, serving as CASA Sarpy Campaign Chair for Little CASA Su CASA for two years and on several local boards including the Nebraska Society of Healthcare Engineers and DBIA in Omaha. Amy also founded an AEC networking group called the Omaha Business Development Friday Afternoon Club, a formal network of AEC professionals and owners.

Kevin Maitland's Bio
Kevin Maitland is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of McCarthy’s national safety program and the firm’s document administration function to maintain all company policies and procedures. He brings more than 30 years total construction experience to his role, 22 of these with McCarthy. Prior to assuming his current position, Maitland served as McCarthy’s Central Region Safety Director, overseeing McCarthy's safety policies, working closely with trade partners, clients and OSHA to ensure safe jobsites, and ensuring procedures were developed and implemented throughout each project in the region.
Among other industry involvement, Maitland was formerly the chairman of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri Executive Safety & Health Committee and is a current committee member. He also serves on the OSHA Partnership Committee and as a Substance Abuse Consortium Trustee with the organization. He served as chairman of the Safety & Crime Prevention Committee for Southern Illinois Builders Association for three years and is a current active committee member. He is also a board member for the Safety Council of Greater St. Louis and company representative with the National Construction Safety Executives. Maitland has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers for 23 years.
