Andrew McAllister's Bio
In 2004, shortly after its inception, Andrew McAllister joined Moss and Associates as a Sr. Vice President/Project Executive. Andrew has 16 years of experience in the commercial construction industry with a major focus within the Hospitality Sector. His role at Moss and Associates includes the oversight and management of major construction projects as well as identification and pursuit of new opportunities. His ability to conceptualize, plan and communicate complex strategies as well as manage Teams ensures that each project delivery delights the Owner. This approach has resulted in multiple repeat clients.
Beginning as a laborer working in the residential construction industry in the ‘80’s, Andrew has been involved in all facets of the industry including, marketing, business development, estimating and operations. In construction operations, he served as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager on office buildings, higher educational facilities, resorts, casinos, and marinas. Andrew’s notable projects include Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans, The Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Bahia Mar Yachting Center and Chub Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas.
Andrew graduated in 1993 from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Design in Architecture. He subsequently worked as an Assistant Professor within the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction while earning his Masters of Science in Building Construction in late 1994. Andrew is a Certified General Contractor and Qualifier for Moss and Associates. Prior to joining Moss and Associates Andrew spent 10 years with Centex Construction Company’s Florida and Louisiana Divisions.
Bob Moss's Bio
In March 2003, Bob Moss founded Moss & Associates d.b.a. Moss, a national construction consulting and construction management firm. Bob built his successful career during the past 40 years with hallmark projects all over the country.
Since moving to Florida in 1986, Bob has presided over such notable projects as 10 Walt Disney World resorts including Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Pop Century, and Coronado Springs; 16 Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World projects throughout the country; the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; Atlantis Paradise Island and Our Lucayan in the Bahamas, Cleveland Clinic in Broward; and the Office Depot Center, “Home of the Florida Panthers”.
Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Governor's Florida Council of 100, World President Organization, Chief Executive Organization, the Board of Directors of Watsco ($1.5 Billion NYSE Company), Heart of Florida United Way, Advisory Council University of Florida School of Building Construction, and the Broward Workshop Top 50 CEOs of Broward County.
Brett Atkinson's Bio
Brett joined the Moss team bringing with him 15 years of industry experience. Brett has excelled in many fast tracked jobs including the Marlins Ballpark, Times Union Center for the Performing Arts in Jacksonville, FL; the Office Depot Center (NHL Florida Panthers Hockey Arena) in Sunrise, FL; Harrah’s New Orleans Casino in New Orleans, LA; and the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center (also known as Opryland) in Grapevine, TX.
Brett began his career under the leadership of Bob Moss with the Centex Rooney Construction Company. While working for Centex, Brett quickly rose through the ranks from Project Engineer to Senior Project Manager. Brett will serve as a Vice President with Moss as well as the Project Executive on all Nova Southeastern University Projects.
Brett graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Construction Management.
Chad Moss's Bio
Chad Moss has joined his father at Moss in the role of Senior Vice President/Project Executive. The strong relationships that he has built during his 16 years in the South Florida construction industry make Chad an invaluable team member. In this role Chad will manage multiple projects, preconstruction, buyout, scheduling, contract management, billing, public relations, and new project pursuit.
Chad has worked as an assistant field engineer, project engineer, project manager, and account manager for Centex Rooney. His experience includes Publix stores throughout Florida as well as retail shopping centers, office buildings, government buildings, churches, and a high profile hotel in the Bahamas.
Chad earned a BS in Construction Management from Florida International University.
Dick Slater's Bio
Dick Slater fulfills his role as Moss' Vice President drawing on his 35 years of construction experience, 20 of which were in the State of Florida. Dick's wide range of experience includes multi-family, government and security, technology, hospitality, airport and seaport, educational, hospital, and office projects. This varied experience has honed his leadership and relationship abilities, and present Dick as a seasoned ambassador for Moss.
Dick received a BS in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is a Florida Registered Engineer in Training and a Licensed General Contractor.
Don Warren's Bio
Don Warren has more than 30 years of progressive experience in the construction industry and received his BS Civil Engineering–Construction from North Carolina State University. Don will lead Moss’ Carolinas Division headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina. Don is a founding member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and has been actively involved with that national organization since its inception in 1993. He served on the Board of Directors for six years, including a term as Chairman. Don is one of only a few practicing Designated Design-Build Professionals™ in North and South Carolina. He works directly with key clients to build relationships and provide service from preconstruction throughout the construction process. Don has been involved in a myriad of project types throughout the Southeast using design-build for industries including commercial, manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, distribution and process.
Guy Reese's Bio
Guy joined the Moss team bringing 14 years of industry experience. Throughout his career, Guy has been involved with several projects from the government sector, including several high profile school board projects for Broward, St. Lucie and Palm Beach County that required phased replacement considerations due to having an active campus during the construction phase for most of these projects. These projects had high safety expectations due to the exposure to students and faculty, as well functional considerations to keep the campus on-line during construction of the new facilities. These projects included Flannagan High School (Broward County), Dillard High School (Broward County) and Forrest Hill High School (Palm Beach County).
Guy began his career with another local construction firm and excelled in the field as a Project Engineer assisting on several projects before being promoted to Project Manager to head up the construction efforts in St. Lucie County where he oversaw six (6) separate projects for the School Board during a three (3) year span. Guy currently serves as Vice President with Moss and Associates overseeing several retail and office facility projects.
Guy completed his education at the University of Florida with a BS in Construction Management.
Joe Harris's Bio
Joe Harris joined Moss as an Executive Vice President in early 2004. Joe has lived and worked in South Florida his entire life and has been in the construction industry for over 34 years. His experience and remarkable network of personal and professional connections are invaluable to the Moss business.
Joe’s career is marked by his outstanding knowledge in the healthcare field. He understands the complexities of managing a project in a functioning hospital, and has overseen dozens of projects and phases for over twelve separate facilities. Joe also has considerable experience with condominiums, offices and retail space, and many of his projects grace the skylines of South Florida.
Immediately before joining Moss, Joe was Senior Executive of the south eastern division of a global company. His leadership directed the operations of over 150 people.
Joe served on the Board of Directors for the Associated Builder’s & Contractors and the Construction Association of South Florida, and is active in the Construction Manager’s Association of South Florida and the South Florida Hospital Association. He is a State Certified Building and General Contractor and has earned his Masters in Business Administration at Florida Atlantic University.
Mike Little's Bio
Mike Little brings 28 years of construction experience with 13 years based in South Florida to his role as Executive Vice President of Moss. His exceptional leadership and dedication make Mike a tremendous asset. He works directly with key clients to build relationships and provide service from preconstruction throughout the construction process.
Mike started his construction career in Texas in 1982 as a Project Manager with Herman Bennett Co. He worked as Superintendent for HCB Contractors from 1984 until 1992. He served as Construction Manager for Blount Construction in Alabama from 1992 through 1994. Then Mike moved to Florida to serve as Senior Project Manager, Vice President, and Senior Vice President of Centex Rooney Construction from 1994 until 2004.
Mike earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Construction Association of South Florida (serving on the Board and as past President), the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (serving as Chairman of National Forum IV).
Mike Mazza's Bio
Mike has 15 years of specialized government experience. As Sr. Vice President at Moss, Mike assumes the responsibilities of overseeing project operations including project team leadership and support, on-site staff coordination, scheduling, budgeting and procurement management. He will be involved with all phases related to preconstruction, construction and project close-out.
Mike’s experience ranges from hotels to office buildings to courthouses with the heaviest focus on correctional facilities. He has constructed jails in Florida, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado. Mike started his career in estimating, then moved to the field as a Project Engineer earning promotions to Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Vice President with Centex Rooney Construction. One of Mike’s more notable projects is Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Russell Anderson's Bio
Russell Anderson brings more than 26 years of experience, including 12 years of architectural practice and 15 years of construction management, to his role as Vice President of Preconstruction for Moss. His responsibilities cover design and development, preconstruction management, construction budget analysis, cost estimating, competitive bid analysis, general conditions/schedule analysis, and profitability assurance.
Russell has exercised his considerable preconstruction skills on condominium, housing, commercial/office, institutional, educational, and healthcare projects throughout South Florida.
Russell received a BS in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Construction Association of South Florida and was an adjunct professor for Florida International University. Russell has served the community as a Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together and actively supports Goodwill of South Florida.
Scott Desharnais's Bio
A driving force at Moss Construction, Scott has more than 25 years of professional experience in the construction industry. He presents a unique blend of field and office experience. Scott’s primary function is to ensure the performance of the Project Team to monitor the quality of the project as well as the budget and schedule. He is ultimately responsible for the satisfaction of the Owner. Scott is a native of Miami and is familiar with the South Florida market.
Scott possesses planning, strategy and management capabilities, as well as “hands-on” expertise. He has concentrated on incorporating fast-track methods for building complicated projects within strict schedule and budget guidelines. Scott’s project management experience covers a wide variety of construction specialties. He is proficient in cost control analysis, scheduling, implementation of project controls, and procurement techniques.
Scott has long been at the forefront of introducing innovative programs to the firm and is known for his creative approaches to problem solving. His extensive portfolio of project experience is equally balanced between private and public sectors and includes commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and residential construction. He is an active participant in many industry and charitable organizations and encourages volunteerism and community participation among the entire staff.
Scott earned his degree in Construction Management from Florida International University, He is a member of the Construction Association of South Florida and a Certified General Contractor, State of Florida.
Scott Moss's Bio
Scott Moss works with his father at Moss as a Senior Vice President/Project Executive. Scott's 12 years of experience in the construction industry give him the background to manage the day-to-day operations of multiple construction projects. He negotiates and writes all subcontracts and purchase orders, develops and manages project schedules, controls the budget, approves pay applications, supervises and manages the on-site staff, and supports the project Superintendent with any needed resources. Scott is also very active at various Universities participating in recruiting events for the company.
Scott began his career as Project Engineer and was promoted to Project Manager with Centex Rooney. He has built Bass Pro Shops retail outlets throughout the Southeast United States, and has managed the entire construction process for a major mixed-use development in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Scott received a BS in Construction Management from the University of Florida. He is a Florida Certified Building Contractor and General Contractor.
Ted Adams's Bio
Ted Adams has 31 years of construction industry experience largely in Florida. Mr. Adams leads Moss’ North and Central Florida Divisions, headquartered in Ocala, as Executive Vice President. His broad base of experience and client relationships throughout the country enables him to understand and fulfill his client needs on both public and private sector projects.
Ted began his construction career in 1976 on assignment with Blount Corporation on the Space Shuttle Launch Pad construction at the Kennedy Space Center. In 1981, he joined Perini Corporation and in 1984 was recruited by Centex. Ted spent the next 20 years with Centex holding positions from Project Manager through Sr. Vice President, responsible for his own operational division within the company.
In 2004, Mr. Adams joined Moss as Executive Vice President responsible for Regional and industry specific markets.
Business Development, Marketing & Sales
David Ciampini's Bio
David brings more than 16 years of construction and development experience to Moss and Associates. Over the last 14 years, David has held roles as Vice President of Construction for two West Coast Florida based construction and development companies. Most recently before joining Moss and Associates, Dave was President of a 25 year old Telecommunication Construction Company located in Tampa.
David directed the management and business development for different business units on his previous three appointments. He has collaborated on many different types of projects from fiber backbone construction and tilt wall fulfillment centers to large apartment communities and prisons.
He has developed long term relationships with Tampa Bay Area developers, owners, and government units. David will use these connections to fortify Moss and Associates’ presence on the West Coast of Florida.
David was the top graduate from the University of Florida in the School of Building Construction, fall 1993. He graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Florida and was a member of Sigma Lambda Chi (International Construction Honor Society).
David holds both a Florida State Certified General Contractors (CGC) license and a Certified Electrical (LE) license.
Shelby Morris's Bio
Shelby brings more than 14 years of experience to her role as Director of Marketing for Moss. In her position, Shelby is responsible for the firm's overall marketing program to strengthen the company's brand recognition and reputation. In addition, she leads the efforts of corporate communications and the proposal/presentation process.
Shelby has honed her abilities over her 16-year career in which she has 14 years of specialized construction marketing experience. Shelby focuses on building trusting relationships, assisting in building Moss' client base, and assessing changing needs both within and outside the company.
As an integral part of the Moss team, Shelby strives to promote successful working relationships between Moss professionals, clients, and construction industry associates. She is a past member of the Construction Executives Association (CEA), recently served on the 2010 Board of Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and a graduate of the 2006 "Leadership Broward" Class XXV.

Brian Trusky's Bio
Brian Trusky brings more than 15 years of construction experience to Moss. He directs Moss’ safety and loss prevention program. Brian ensures that Moss maintains an experience modification rate below the national average. He manages the Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIPs) and workers compensation claims. He ensures compliance with federal, state and local health and safety regulations through routine project safety inspections/audits and upper management coordination. Brian coordinates environmental permitting issues with local, state and federal agencies (dewatering, stormwater run-off, NPDES, etc.). He also conducts training and education classes in various aspects of construction safety, health, stormwater and environmental permitting.
Brian has 10 years of safety experience. He has previously served as Safety Director for Centex Rooney overseeing safety and loss prevention for more than $600 million worth of projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
Brian graduated with an MA in Industrial and Labor Relations and a BS in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Hazardous Waste, Lead Abatement, and Asbestos Abatement Worker; Certified 10 and 30 Hour - Construction Outreach Instructor (OSHA 500); Competent Person Trainer in Fall Protection (Construction Safety Council); Competent Person Training in Scaffold Erection, Concrete Reinforcement Training, Welding/Cutting, and Burning Training; Certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR; and Certified State of Florida Storm Water Management Inspector and Inspector Trainer.
