Scope Of Work
When complete in late Summer 2009, this mixed-use complex will encompass more than 2.4 million SF of space along the Miami River on the south end of downtown Miami. The 52 story project includes luxury condominiums, an oversized recreational deck, restaurants and various support facilities as well as a parking garage sitting beneath the structure.
As construction manager, Moss worked with the owner and design consultants throughout the preconstruction planning phases prior to commencing work in the field. To deal with the challenge of dewatering the site to prepare for the 11-foot-below-grade, 10,000 cubic-yard pile cap foundation, on site crews increased pump activity to 24 hours per day and diverted water into city-approved wells. This coupled with a uniquely developed deck pour sequence allowed site crews to stay ahead of schedule by 80 days.
