Michael Hamman

In 1975 Michael along with his partner Paul built a house for a client in Half Moon Bay and this project taught him how much he loved working on houses, and he has been doing it ever since. In the intervening years much has changed and many lessons have been learned.

A body of knowledge and expertise has been acquired that can only be obtained through experience. Those years of working together have forged the staff into an extraordinary team endowed with the same love of working on houses and commitment to quality work that seduced Michael into the business thirty five years ago. Many on our staff have been with us for over twenty years and our newest was hired seven years ago.

From the beginning we have had a special interest in solving difficult structural challenges for our clients, be it excavating a garage under a Victorian or pulling the walls back together on a collapsing church, thus we have a unique set of skills and equipment necessary to do the job.

Our reputation in this field is such that we are often hired to consult on others projects. In addition to the usual high level trim carpentry that is expected of a firm such as ours, we have over the years built up a stable of master artisan trade contractors who are able to execute any one off finish you can imagine, from hand forged blacksmithing to multipart exotic wall papers. We have successfully completed high profile projects for movie stars and others all over the city.
