TCH Directional Drilling

Growing regulations and environmental concerns are a challenge to pipeline, communication, and utility companies who install and maintain pipelines, cable, and conduits.  TCH recognizes these challengesa and provides the highest degree of support to the customer through our many years of experience in the horizontal directional drilling (HD) and utility construction industry.  We began our HDD division in 1993, at that time we purchased the second drill rig sold by Vermeer of Houston.  Since then, both TCH and Vermeer have grown by leaps and bounds in the HDD marketplace.  Today, nearly twenty years later, the HDD industry has become a preferred method of installing pipelines in congested areas where open trenching is too risky and time consuming.  TCH has led the Houston and Gulf Coast market in developing the technology and educating owners and engineers on the advantages of HDD.

HDD is a safe and environmentally friendly way to construct pipelines with minimal surface disturbance not only in congested areas but also to preserve wetlands and other sensitive areas. TCH is one of the few firms that combine decades of successful HDD installations with the ability and resources to carry out the other tasks involved with building a new pipeline or utility project. Our multi-rig fleet has the capacity to install products that range from one inch to over three feet in diameter and lengths in excess of three thousand feet.

All of our drilling units are equipped with the latest in guidance and steering tools. Each rig also boasts a support fleet of track-hoes, vacuum trucks, fluid cleaning systems, and numerous other pieces of equipment which are vital to a successful HDD operation.
