Scope Of Work

Building for the future doesn’t always mean tearing down and starting new. Sometimes it means adding value to what you already have. For Centennial School District (CSD), their vision was to create a 21st century learning environment—and reduce their operational costs while they were at it.

We worked with CSD—the students, faculty, staff, and community members—in visioning sessions and design charrettes. The result? A departure from traditional facilities. The adoption of a flexible design that uses a variety of models. Each area includes collaborative learning spaces, and educational courtyards allow for differentiated learning.

We also put science labs in the public spaces. That way students can display their projects without disrupting dedicated instruction. And our recommendation to renovate the existing athletic and arts portions of the facility saved the district a hefty chunk of budget. William Tennent High School will serve as a progressive campus for CSD, and the students they serve.
