Dylan McGreevy's Bio
Dylan McGreevy started Clay Construction with over 20 years of construction experience. His expertise has been in commercial and residential projects in the DC, Virginia & Maryland area. He is native to the Northern Virginia area and received his bachelor’s from Virginia Tech and his MBA from West Virginia University.
When Dylan founded Clay Construction, he had a vision to provide a true Design-Build experience to commercial clients. By bringing the architecture element in-house, Clay Construction has been able to achieve that. Clay Construction projects have focused primarily on tenant build-outs, office remodels and ground-up construction for hospitality, multi-family and commercial uses.
Dylan loves his job and the team he works with, but when he’s not at the office or on the jobsite, he loves spending time with his wife and two kids, Clark & Gray who are the inspiration for our name.

Michael Wood's Bio
Michael Wood is a licensed architect in Virginia, DC and Maryland. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and has spent over 10 years designing and building commercial and residential projects in DC Metro Area.
Michael joined Clay Construction as Vice President of Pre-Construction and Business Development to help achieve a true design-build delivery to clients. There was a clear need for a commercial construction firm to have an integrated partnership with an architect, which is when Woodworks Architects was born.
Woodworks exclusively works with Clay Construction as its architecture partner. This partnership provides clients with a turn-key solution from the initial conceptual-design phase to project delivery with Clay Construction. With both architect and GC being involved in the project from the very beginning, Clay Construction is able to deliver a truly unique and customer focused experience.
Prior to Woodworks, Michael started his career working for a small architecture firm in Northern Virginia. He then launched his own business offering project management and architecture services for commercial and residential clients, which gave him experience in the construction field.
Having worked in the field, Michael has a deep understanding not only of design and architecture but also understands construction phasing & protocols, costs and timelines.
He takes great pride in developing a relationship with his client in the early stages of the project.
Michael is an AIA member and is licensed in DC, Virginia and Maryland. Michael has also served on the Reston Design Board for the last 5 years and is currently the chair of the Board.
