Sales tax compliance doesn’t have to mean becoming a tax expert – if you have the right guide.
The Sales Tax Advisory Network empowers contractors with sales tax compliance knowledge through resources and support like no other accountant or consultant you met. The owner's background along with the unique tools she created and ability to teach complex tax in a relatable manner is just half of the successful equation. We focus solely on sales/use tax compliance - getting your questions answered and reporting right before you submit your numbers to your tax preparer (or file your return). In other words, we help you AVOID audit, save money, plan to maximize deductions/exemptions, and reduce stress. The service we provide is not provided by your accountant. Plus, the flat monthly fee for unlimited sales tax advising includes audit defense should you be audited. Contractors utilize the advisory services in real time when dealing with subcontractors, general contractors, vendors, determining bid pricing, and general questions that regularly arise. We priced the Sales Tax Audit Protection Plan to be affordable for small businesses and to be reasonable in coordination with your normal CPA. Ask us about multi-state sales tax services as well.
Owner, Holly Hoffman, uses her unique background as a WI Dept. of Revenue (DOR) auditor and sales tax speaker to help businesses navigate the complexities of sales and use tax compliance. While Holly was with the DOR, she implemented all contractor sales and use tax law changes between 2015 and 2019 for the state of WI including publishing guidance and providing presentations to tax professionals, organizations and businesses on how to comply with the laws. In 2018, Holly received the WI Dept. of Revenue External Customer Service Award for her sales tax training. Holly left DOR the end of 2019 to work on behalf of contractors providing them the tools and guidance on how the law applies to their business and the best way to stay in compliance. She also serves as the current Chair of WI Society of CPA's (WICPA) State and Local Taxation Committee (2022-2025).
