Testimonials
To Whom It May Concern,
We have worked with Border Construction over the past twenty-four months and as recent as the Summer of 2022 on multiple office remodel projects in the Fargo market. The scope of these projects ranged from 1,000 SF to 45,000 SF and vary in complexity from complete remodels to a rather straightforward aesthetic upgrade (carpet, paint, etc).
Border Construction and its staff consistently demonstrated a high level of communication, experience and dedication towards exceeding our high expectations. Border did an excellent job of being thorough, utilizing reasonable timelines with us, our tenants and their subcontractors, working with the City of Fargo and further understood the importance of problem solving and thinking outside the box when it comes to remodeling existing buildings.
Border Construction offers a compelling value to its clients with their ability to self-perform many carpentry functions. This value gives them a pricing advantage over their competitors. Furthermore, the Border team has a deep bench including Bryan and James - two incredibly talented individuals that often-worked night and weekends to ensure our projects stayed on track.
Accessibility for us is a "must have" and Tom, Dave and Andy and the entire Border team are always readily available. In the end, we just got a point with Border where we have a high degree of trust and confidence in their abilities on all things construction and they've been a great partner for us. If you're interested in touring the projects they performed for us, please reach out.
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the entire Border Construction team and we would highly recommend them.
Sincerely,
To Whom This May Concern:
I am honored to write this letter of reference for Border Construction Company. Over the past 9 months, we have worked closely with Border Construction in remodeling and upgrading an 18,300 square foot building for The Village Family Service Center in Fargo, North Dakota and constructing a new 10,200 square foot building for our Moorhead, Minnesota location. Border has provided outstanding oversite and craftsmanship throughout the entire project. They have kept us apprised on a weekly schedule as to the progress made on each phase of the construction project.
Tom and his staff have been extremely professional and flexible in meeting our needs. They have provided expertise in product use and overall design. Border has provided workable solutions to problems identified as they came up. Punch list items were taken care of in a very timely fashion.
It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Border Construction to meet any of your build projects!

To Whom It May Concern,
We have worked with Border Construction over the last year while they completed a remodel of our veterinary hospital. Throughout the course of our multiple phase project, Border Construction employees displayed a high level of communication, experience and dedication. Border understands the importance of problem solving and thinking outside the box when it comes to remodeling existing buildings. They were able to complete their work in a timely manner while continuing to ensure our business was able to function each day. Andy and the entire Border team were receptive to our ideas and prompt in addressing any questions or concerns that came up. Our weekly meetings, which included multiple Border employees as well as subcontractors, added to the high level of communication. Border Construction showed integrity, responsiveness, and flexibility during the entire project. Border really cared about this project and ensured we were happy with every aspect of it. They guided us through the process, making it as seamless as possible. They worked with us to ensure the timeline met our needs and kept us up to date with any changes. It has been a pleasure to work with Border Construction and we would highly recommend them. Sincerely,
To Whom It May Concern:
On behalf of Vance Thompson Vision West Fargo, I am pleased to provide a letter of recommendation for Border Construction.
Border Construction was the contractor we chose to build our Phase II Ophthalmology clinic that provided ten exam rooms and nearly 10,000 sq ft of space to our staff and patients. Our decision to partner with them for this important build, was due to the glowing reviews they received from an optometrist friend who had just recently used them for a new clinic build. Shortly after meeting with them for our initial appointment, we knew we had found our builder. We had previously met with another builder who quoted us a price for the work we needed done and Border Construction, not only beat the previous quote, but gave us confidence in the timeline for completing the project.
As the Clinic Director of a busy, growing ophthalmology clinic, my plate was full and adding a construction project to my list of "to do's" seemed overwhelming. After dreading the project and wondering how I would manage to get it all done; I can honestly tell you that I enjoyed the process more than I could have ever imagined. I owe this wonderful experience to the exceptional team at Border Construction! They took all details into their hands and led us every step of the way. Their updates on both timeline and construction costs were delivered on a consistent basis. Their timeliness in responding to my calls, texts and emails was also exceptional.
We have now been in our new space for 5 months and our staff and patients love it. We get glowing reviews on how beautiful and "spa like" our clinic feels. We could not be any happier with how it all turned out. The team at Border Construction truly took our vision and made it a reality.
Any questions, issues, concerns that I have with the space are answered within the hour, even to this day! If you are looking for a contractor that has high standards in building an excellent product, while also delivering on the highest possible level of customer service... then, look no further than the team at Border Construction. We would, without a doubt, use them again for another building project!

To whom it may concern,
Border Construction recently completed a renovation project at YWCA Emergency Shelter. This involved building two shelter rooms with bathrooms in a space that was once a television lounge and converting closets and other spaces adjacent to existing rooms into adjoining bathrooms.
YWCA previously had only communal bathrooms on our resident floor, which made quarantine here during the coronavirus pandemic impossible. Offsite quarantine at an undisclosed location was well managed by local health officials. Yet women seeking shelter due to domestic violence need the heightened security of YWCA Emergency Shelter to feel completely safe. This meant our urgent project needed an aggressive schedule managed to the date.
Border Construction completed our project on time, with portions ahead of schedule.
While other job sites may have looked away when workers didn't wear protective masks, our congregate living setting could have zero tolerance. The Border crew respectfully complied. They worked with courtesy and high regard for our sensitive environment. Their workmanship was excellent.
This crew genuinely cared about the mission of the YWCA Cass Clay and the woman and families that we serve. Our site manager, Bryan, not only brought candy to the children here at Halloween, he also spent time with one child we were serving to explain construction and just what they were doing.
There were many phases to our project, and Border Construction was always communicative about what was happening and what would come next. If we had any challenges, we called them and saw it addressed immediately.
YWCA has worked with many construction companies across my decades leading the organization, and Border Construction is unquestionably a superior construction company.
Sincerely,
