Owner and President Barry Schwartz has lived and worked in the Washington, DC metropolitan area his entire life, including nearly 20 years in Northern Virginia. He began his early career in residential land development, where he managed large projects and subdivisions throughout Southern Maryland. He also spent a combined five years working at two regional construction companies – including Clark Construction Group – where he gained valuable experience in construction planning, project and financial management.

In a nod to his grandfather’s successful entrepreneurial spirit and grit, Barry borrowed the Dunhill name when founding Dunhill Development in 2002, and Dunhill Builders, later in 2011. From its inception, Dunhill Builders has maintained an unwavering commitment to providing clients with a custom home designed to meet the highest standards of design, quality and workmanship available today.

Barry personally oversees every detail of each home he builds.  From unique design elements --such as built-in-hideaways, distressed custom flooring and tiled dog showers-- to creative fixtures and top-of-the-line appliances, Barry has a pulse on what homeowners are looking for today. His integrity, attention to detail, strong work ethic and keen sense of what’s new and different are what make him stand out in a crowded space.
