Artisan Signs & Lighting

Jack Mostert, founder of Artisan Signs & Lighting, had his beginning many years ago in 1947 when he was a young student at the Art Institute of Chicago. During those early years, Artisan Signs & Lighting was known as Mostert & Ferguson, which specialized in sign lettering, gold leaf and neon signs.

Starting in 1968, small fluorescent illuminated plastic signs started to be manufactured.  In 1977, through the acquisition of Artisan Signs & Lighting, a sizable manufacturing plant allowed production of virtually any size sign. Our goal is to provide quality products, while offering competitive pricing, along with a dependable level of customer service.  

In 2008, Jack retired from the industry passing his sign legacy down to his daughter, Ruth Pellegrini who has an equal passion and dedication to signs and lighting.  Ruth has strengthened the growth of Artisan Signs & Lighting into a custom electrical sign company manufacturing, installing and servicing virtually any sign on the market today. 

Artisan Signs & Lighting is the ONLY full service Woman Owned Business Enterprise in the Chicagoland Area servicing all surrounding states to Illinois.

Artisan Signs & Lighting is located in Orland Park, Illinois a suburb of Chicago.  We serve the needs of the commercial, corporate or government customer as well as for small businesses or individuals who need our services.
