Alan Kellum's Bio
Mr. Kellum joined CMTA in 2003 and now leads the Electrical Department in the Lexington, Kentucky office. As such, he is deeply involved with all levels of project management, staff development and quality assurance. With more than 25 years of diverse consulting engineering experience, he has a particular interest in power distribution, data centers, health care and higher education. Since becoming LEED Accredited in 2002 he has ensured that numerous projects meet their sustainability goals. His experience allows him to integrate client focused solutions into all aspects of the design process.
Chris Reeves's Bio
Mr. Reeves joined CMTA in 2006 and is a principal in the Lexington office of CMTA.
Mr. Reeves has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry designing healthcare, commercial, and high performance educational facilities. His primary area of focus has been energy efficient PK-12 schools and higher education buildings. He has designed over 1 million square feet of LEED certified buildings and multiple Zero Energy schools. He utilizes his diverse project experience to benefit the owner through thorough project management and construction oversight.
Mr. Reeves graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Energy Manager. He was recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine.
Douglas Hundley Jr's Bio
Mr. Hundley started his career at CMTA, as a student intern in 1999, and started full time in 2001. His experience at CMTA has involved projects all over the country, including projects in Ontario, Canada. He achieved partner in 2007, and in 2010 became a managing partner. He currently leads the Louisville office mechanical team, managing project schedules, production, and team assignments. As a leader of CMTA, he helps mentor young engineers, and ensure that we maintain quality of our projects.
Mr. Hundley’s experience includes zero energy facilities, high performance hospitals, and complex HVAC renovations. As a certified geothermal designer, he is recognized as one of the leading experts in geothermal design. We capitalize on this vast knowledge and experience, by involving Mr. Hundley in the First 30 Process, to set goals and create opportunities for our clients and owners.
James Benson's Bio
Mr. Benson joined CMTA in May 1987. He became a partner in 1993 and now manages the Louisville, Cincinnati and Indiana offices of CMTA.
He has a sound working knowledge of electrical systems including communications systems, video, computer networking, fire/smoke detection and alarm, emergency power and many other systems critical to large, modern facilities. His extensive experience allows him to be an excellent designer of power and lighting networks for all types of facilities.
He has been managing design teams at CMTA for over 25 years. These design teams have worked on projects for all types of facilities, including health care, higher educational, municipal, educational and other types of commercial facilities. His experience allows him to establish the goals for a project and bring together the necessary means to accomplish cost effective, innovative solutions.

Jeff Millard's Bio
Mr. Millard Joined CMTA in 2015 and is the managing principal of the Cincinnati office of CMTA.
Mr. Millard has over 20 years of experience designing energy efficient buildings and site electrical systems for education, commercial, and health care clients. A LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. Millard has designed multiple LEED facilities including over 30 LEED educational buildings including the first LEED Platinum school in Ohio. Mr. Millard is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati Class 34 and Leadership Northern Kentucky 2008. He was recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Building Design & Construction. He is a board member for UC’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He represented USGBC Cincinnati at a National Caucus on K-12 schools in D.C. which convened to discuss the future vision of schools across the country and how advocacy could push the limits of sustainable schools even further. This is indicative of his passion for sustainable design and his efforts to promote sustainable energy practices.
Mr. Millard is an AIA accredited speaker and has presented on such topics as high performance building systems, Zero Energy and WELL building certification. He has also presented strategies to achieve Zero Energy at several regional AIA conferences.
Mr. Millard graduated from The Ohio State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and has been a licensed engineer in Ohio since 2002. He is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and a Certified Energy Manager.

Jeremy Smith's Bio
Mr. Smith heads up the Energy Solutions division of CMTA focusing on performance contracting. Prior to moving into to Energy Solutions, his CMTA experience included project management for all disciplines, mechanical system design from conception to completion and contract administration. He has a wide variety of experience including K-12 schools, higher education, judicial centers, data centers, health care, high performance buildings and other commercial projects.
Jesse Farber's Bio
Mr. Farber has been a part of CMTA since 1999 and he has taken his engineering expertise and wisdom to the Boston office. As a leader of CMTA, he works on a daily basis with junior and senior team members of the staff on their development.
Mr. Farber’s experience is diverse and includes health care, education, convention centers, courthouses, and other commercial facilities. He is experienced with various sustainable design elements including geothermal systems, heat recovery systems, solar water heating and rainwater collection systems.
Kenneth Seibert's Bio
Mr. Seibert joined CMTA in 1982. Because of his leadership CMTA has gained a national reputation in the area of Zero Energy and high performance, energy efficient designs.
As a pioneer in the area of zero energy buildings, Mr. Seibert is a frequently requested speaker and author on the topic of optimizing energy use in the built environment. He has testified before the U.S. Congress and is a co-author of two Advanced Energy Design Guides for K-12 Schools.
The University of Kentucky College of Engineering named Mr. Seibert to its Hall of Distinction in 2015. The Hall of Distinction recognizes and honors those alumni who have demonstrated distinguished engineering professional accomplishments, outstanding character and commitment to community service. Mr. Seibert graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the Pi Tau Sigma honor fraternity. He has been a licensed engineer in Kentucky (#15342) since 1988. He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.

Kevin Mussler's Bio
Mr. Mussler is the managing partner of the Lexington, DC and Richmond offices of CMTA. His projects represent the broad spectrum of the building industry including everything from academic higher education buildings to research laboratories to sports facilities, to K-12 schools to full service hospitals.He understands that it is the owner who is the true judge of how well a project has been completed and his ability to exceed their expectations is well respected.
