As Managing Partner of IA, Pat Whetzle is responsible for the strategic and financial direction of the firm. For more than 20 years, Pat has been recognized for his leadership skills and his high standards for quality and workmanship.
Pat’s first exposure to building came through his time spent amongst the tools and machines of the Original American Kazoo Factory, which his grandfather owned and operated. Watching his grandfather repair and modify the old-fashioned die and stamping machines by hand instilled in him a deep appreciation for craft and restoration.
Out of college, Pat made his way up to Alaska and spent 12 years as a commercial fisherman there. In between trips up north, he earned a law degree and subsequently passed the New York State Bar.
Pat returned to New York and started a career in construction, eventually finding his way to IA as a carpenter. After successfully leading several of IA’s larger projects, Pat was made a partner in 1998.
