David B. Brodie's Bio
Dave directs all client business development, management of staff, and resources for Wohlsen’s Maryland region. He also serves on Wohlsen’s Leadership Team and Strategic Planning Committee.
Dave was instrumental in starting and managing Wohlsen’s Delaware office. During his 35+ year tenure at Wohlsen, he has risen through the ranks from project engineer and estimator to project executive and senior vice president. Dave is always ready to share valuable, hands-on knowledge of the construction process. He is a member of the Lean Construction Institute and is a Lean LCI practitioner.
Dave is also a member of numerous industry and civic organizations and has served on the ABC Baltimore Metro Chapter’s Board of Directors and the Foundation Board for the Building Congress and Exchange. He is an honorary board member of the Open Net Foundation and is an active board member for Gilpin Hall and the Building Congress and Exchange. In addition to serving as an affiliate member of AIA Baltimore, his previous involvement has included numerous boards and committees including the Delaware Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors, Delaware Contractor’s Association, Committee of 100, New Castle Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill Industries, Ingleside Homes.
Dave is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities Planning and Management.
Gary Langmuir's Bio
Gary joined Wohlsen in 1980 and has served as President & CEO since 1990. He has served as Chairman of the Board since 1995. Gary leads Wohlsen’s strategic initiatives and provides guidance to the management team. His passion is to drive Wohlsen’s vision of “a relentless pursuit of excellence, service, and results for our clients.”
Gary is very active in both industry and civic organizations including board positions with Messiah College, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, Pennsylvania Council of General Contractors, and Lancaster Country Day School. He also serves as Chair of CMS Financial Services Corp & Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.
Gary’s dedication and character has been recognized with personal awards. In 2008, Gary was awarded the BUSINESS ETHICS AWARD BY THE SAMARITAN COUNSELING CENTER. In 2017, he was honored with LANCASTER CHAMBER’S EXEMPLAR AWARD for his contributions to the local business community and his help in improving Lancaster County’s quality of life.
Gary is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Business.
John K. Ball's Bio
John leads Wohlsen’s construction operations and provides company-wide executive leadership and resources to ensure our clients receive Raving Fan service. He is a builder of teams, organizations, coalitions, and momentum. John’s personal commitments to safety, teamwork, innovation and integrity mirror Wohlsen’s values.
With over 30 years of construction industry experience, John has been active in both civic and industry organizations including the General Building Contractors Association, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Business Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, The Reinvestment Fund and Presbyterian Medical Center.
John is a graduate of Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mauro Rubbo's Bio
Mauro is responsible for all client business development, management of staff, and resources for Wohlsen’s Connecticut Region. He has worked in the Nutmeg State for 35+ years, having worked as an estimator, project manager, project executive, and vice president of construction.
Mauro has extensive experience in design phase management, he has successfully managed multiple projects from the design phase through construction. He also worked in many industries and with multiple delivery methods including Senior Living, Pharmaceutical, Financial, Institutional/Hospital clients as well as public schools and mixed-use developments.
Mauro serves on Wohlsen’s Leadership and Operational Excellence Teams. He is a member of numerous professional and civic associations including Connecticut Building Congress, AIA Connecticut, ABC of Connecticut and The Construction Institute.
Mauro is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Michael B. Berardi's Bio
Mike is responsible for all client business development, management of staff and resources for Wohlsen’s Delaware Valley Region. He has worked in the Mid-Atlantic construction market for the past 40 years, serving all aspects of the industry, from project manager to president.
A member of the Lean Construction Institute and a Lean LCI practitioner, Mike has provided Lean oversight and management for many Wohlsen clients. His leadership skills and stellar reputation are instrumental in Wohlsen’s relentless pursuit of excellence, service and results for our clients.
Mike serves on Wohlsen’s Leadership Team and Strategic Planning Committee. He is actively involved with several organizations, and at various times throughout his career held positions such as president and board member. These roles have afforded him the opportunity to promote best practices within the industry and also drive positive change.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Michael B. Funck's Bio
Mike oversees all client business development, management staff and resources for Wohlsen’s Pennsylvania market. He also serves on Wohlsen’s Leadership Team and Strategic Planning Committee.
With over 25 years of construction experience with Wohlsen, Mike has held many industry positions including project engineer, estimator, preconstruction manager and senior vice president. He received his Certified Healthcare Constructor and Green Advantage Environmental Certifications and is actively involved in numerous industry associations including USGBC Central PA Chapter, Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors, American Society of Healthcare Engineers and the Capitol Region Economic Development Council.
Mike is a graduate of Drexel University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering.
