Ben Sperl's Bio
Ben Sperl grew up in Gregory, SD. Ben worked with a local construction crew throughout his highschool years. He graduated from Gregory High School in 2003. He then went on to Pierre, SD working for Design Draft Inc. for one year before attending Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) for Architecture Design and Building Construction (ADBC). Ben graduated with honors in 2007 receiving his Associate of Applied Science degree in ADBC, and received the "Who's Who" Award among other students that year. He then worked for Patzer Woodworking of Mitchell, SD for two years before starting his own business in 2009, Sperl Construction. In 2011 Ben also opened his second business Comfort Crew Home Insulation Services, which he still owns and operates. Ben likes to stay active in the community and is currently serving on the Mitchell Technical Institute Advisory Board. Ben and his wife Erica have two daughters. Ben is an avid golfer and has always had a passion for hunting, he guides with his two hunting dogs every pheasant season.
Greg Neppl's Bio
Greg Neppl grew up in Spirit Lake, IA. Construction has always been in his blood, even from the time he was little. Growing up, he was often found building projects out of the scrap pile in his parent’s garage. Greg spent his high school years working for Bill Eich Construction, a local contractor in the Iowa Great Lakes area. It didn’t take long for him to realize that construction was his passion and the career path he wanted to pursue. Greg received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Design & Building Construction (ADBC) at Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) in Mitchell, SD. Upon graduation, he worked at Morton Buildings and Puetz Corporation before returning to MTI as an instructor in the ADBC program, the same program in which he received his degree. He taught in higher education for six years, was the Leader of the Construction Division, took on the role of SkillsUSA Advisor and received an Excellence in Instruction award in 2011. Greg and his wife, Amanda, live in Mitchell with their two dogs, Izzie and Maddie. They enjoy traveling, camping and boating with family. In Greg’s free time, he can be found volunteering at the Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity, Mitchell Wrangler Committee and on several committees for the Home Builder’s Association of the Sioux Empire. When he is not volunteering, Greg enjoys dirt track racing, golfing, hunting and fishing.
