Action Contractors LLC

President and founder Sal Vecchio began his career in construction laboring for his grandfather as a teenager.  After completing his bachelor’s degree studies he began working for his father as an office assistant.  Within a few years Sal became one of the primary estimators for his father and eventually moved into project management.  In 2009 Sal established Action Contractors, LLC. as a carpentry and concrete sub-contracting firm.  Today Action operates both as a self-performing general contractor and sub-contractor.  In the seven years of operation Sal has grown the from less than 10 employees and under $1,000,000.00 in revenue to a company with over 30 employees and projects completed in 19 states for various clients.

Senior Estimator and Vice President, Vince Tisci graduated from University of Akron with a Civil Engineering degree and he attended American Management School.  graduation he has been a part of the construction trade for five decades. He began his career estimating and lead to Project Executive which he continues to do so today. With his vast knowledge and experience, Vince is a key player in the Action team. His diverse history includes over 300 projects totaling nearly $1,000,000,000 in contract value.

Michael Miller earned a BA in math and economics from Wesleyan University in 2000. He then went on to earn a general MBA from Cleveland State University in 2004. Michael has been with Action 2007 where he has worked under several capacities.  Originally hired to work in the accounting department, he helped implement the accounting system and policies still in place at Action today.  His love for numbers and desire to take on new challenges has led him to his current role in the estimating department.  Today Michael acts as the head estimator.

Neil earned his BA in administration and his BFA in graphic design from Ohio Northern University in 2007. After 5 years in the creative industry, he has returned to his roots in construction. His field experience goes back to the age of 16 and covers everything from masonry to carpentry. He now works in estimating and project coordination for Action Contractors.  

Sam has been in the construction field 1956. He was a contractor in Las Vegas for carpentry and masonry until 1960. He returned to Cleveland and worked as a Project Manager for Mileti Construction, building commercial projects. He then built Kmart's for a period of five years. In 1970 he became a general contractor and developer, building office complexes, commercial strip centers, and warehouses.

Michael Gordon started his construction career in residential framing right out of high school in the early 80’s. In 1988, he moved to commercial work, starting off as a carpenter. After a year as a commercial carpenter Michael moved into a superintendent’s position, running multiple size projects over the next 16 years from Retail spaces, to Fast Food chains, to High School additions, to Hotels/Assistant Livings. From there Michael moved into a Project Managers position in the early 2000’s, which has become his new passion. Knowing and having the vast knowledge of construction he has, from understanding how a project is built to understanding the importance of contracting and putting together the correct team of contractors for each project, makes him a very valuable asset to our Action Contractors team.

Pete was exposed to the construction world at the early age of 12 cleaning jobsites. He continued as a laborer in construction throughout high school and college. After college, Pete progressed very quickly to become a superintendent, then a project manager.

Pete has over 40 years of experience in commercial construction, both private and public projects. His experience includes ground up projects that range from $2,000,000 to $105,000,000. His experience includes High Rise, Medical Buildings, Hospitals, Schools K-12, Universities, Airports, Fire Stations,  Libraries, Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Secure Government Facilities.

Christy comes to us from the Carolinas where she developed skills that allow her to be committed to her profession. Christy’s background ranges from accounting assistant to sales and marketing. With over two decades of experience, she easily stepped into her current role in Client Development. Christy works diligently to attract, develop, and retain clients to ensure Action Contractors’ continued growth. As a lifelong learner, Christy is continuing her education and expects to earn her bachelor’s degree in business management in the near future.
