Sustainable Energy Systems is a family owned renewable energy design and installation business based out of Frederick, Maryland and operating in the Mid-Atlantic region since 2008.  Our main line of business is solar photovoltaic integration - developing, designing, and installing turn-key solar PV systems for commercial and residential clients.  

SES has a reputation for high quality installations using best in class materials, and offering very competitive pricing.  We include an industry-leading 25-year workmanship warranty on all installations, and we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured.

We offer rooftop, ground mount, parking canopies with electric vehicle charging, All-Earth solar trackers, and integrated lithium-ion battery backup. 

SES has installed over 2,000 systems, including projects contracted by many of the national solar companies including SolarCity, Sungevity, and SunEdison.   Some of our commercial projects include REI, Frederick Housing Authority, and DC Public Schools, and we have installed systems larger than 260 kW to date.    

We offer components from leading manufacturers including SolarEdge, Enphase, U.S.-made Itek Solar, Trina, LG, Silfab, LG-Chem, and others.

Our service territory includes Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. 

We hire locally and support multiple renewable energy employment programs offered by local universities. We seek American made materials and support the local economies of our clients.
