Conewago Contractors, Inc is a family owned and operated real estate development and management company, founded by Donald B. Smith in 1956 and incorporated in 1963. Its holdings are comprised of a diversified portfolio of industrial and commercial properties throughout the Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland markets. The company, through direct ownership and partnerships, has holdings of approximately 1.2 million square feet of buildings. All assets are operated and managed by the company. The properties of the company range from single tenant manufacturing facilities to multi-tenant community shopping centers. While the company prides its self on its diversification, its concentration remains on the development and leasing of warehouse and manufacturing space, with this market sector comprising over 70% of its current holdings.
The staff and management of Conewago Contractors, Inc. consist of 4-full time employees with a combined 43 years of real estate management experience. This experience has led to the development of proactive and innovative practices to control cost and maximize value when administrating to the needs of our properties. Furthermore, the size of the company is well suited to meet the needs of our tenants by having the financial strength and capability to properly maintain and improve our buildings while still retaining the intimacy of a family owned business. The geographic locations of our properties cover an area encompassing Adams, York, Cumberland and DauphinCounties in Pennsylvania, Carroll County, Maryland and Frederick County, Virginia. With our principal office in Hanover, we are centrally located to all our properties, which allow for frequent visits and inspections and ensures that our buildings achieve a higher standard of operation.
