Our Story

From the day Lewis W. Kendall founded Lakeland Electric in 1967, he set a standard of excellence. Along with his small crew of electricians, he chose to do every job right…from the very start. It was a very basic formula, but it has stood the test of time.

Having taken that lead from his father, today owner Terry Kendall bears that same standard. With more than 85 employees, over 1000 years of combined expertise and more than $6 million in volume every year.

Lakeland Electric is known for quality not only in the finished product, but in everything we do. With our shared commitment and almost a full third of our workforce here since the beginning, we are confident in our bids–well able to see beyond bare specs–often eliminating surprises long before the end of a project.

From 10,000 square foot renovations to 500,000 square foot design-build projects, around-the-clock emergency service to state-of-the-art infrared maintenance checks, excellence can be seen in every detail of Lakeland Electric's work.
