Scope Of Work
Situation:
No organization, no procedure in place for shop drawings, shop drawing review, or construction schedule.
Remedy:
We organized the project in a systematic way requiring contractors to submit shop drawings, complete shop drawing reviews in a timely manner, and set up a schedule for all of the contractors.
Situation:
The remodeled portion of the building had height, connection and elevation issues. The translation between the architectural drawings and actual shop drawings and construction was unclear. The mechanical and electrical didn’t fit with the architectural renderings.
Remedy:
Worked with the structural, mechanical, and electrical contractors and required a higher level of accuracy in order to make the addition fit.
Situation:
The project was Over Budget and Over Designed
Remedy:
The cupola was redesigned as a dome in order to stay within budget. Insisted the architect give timely resolutions to contractor’s questions.
Resolved the owners needs in relationship to the layout of the book shelves, computers, and made the space user friendly.
Situation:
Original contractor was attempting to increase his profits by making things more complicated than they really were. Contractor was continually requesting additional funds for what appeared to be ambiguous design detail.
Remedy:
Required the contractor to justify his requests by being very specific about quantities, labor, and detail.
