John Schneider's Bio
John joined Consolidated in 2014 and was appointed President in 2017. He has more than 30 years of experience in successfully managing construction companies and construction projects, and is experienced in corporate planning and strategy development matters at the executive level. He is experienced in resource and capital expenditure planning, design-build delivery strategy, and operations management.
As the leader of Consolidated’s construction operations division, John oversaw the functions and development of all self-perform crews, equipment and logistics, safety, and equipment and vehicle maintenance teams. He also enhanced capabilities that tripled revenue in the self-perform division, expanded geographic coverage throughout the Midwest, and added carpentry and interior finish systems.
John’s previous experience includes project engineer and senior project manager roles, making him well versed in complex, multi-million dollar construction projects. His portfolio of project involvement spans all major vertical markets, including healthcare, education, mixed use retail/residential, industrial and food/dairy.
He has a Bachelors of Science degree from Iowa State University in Construction Engineering. John has also participated in the Executive Leadership program at the University of Wisconsin. John’s past ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) credentials illustrate his knowledge of critical information necessary to build in sensitive, complex healthcare environments. He is also an Accredited Professional in Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®-AP) and practices techniques of the Lean Construction Institute, assisting clients in making better building material and system choices.
Mark Schwei's Bio
Mark is Executive Vice President and a voting shareholder of the company. After joining Consolidated in 2003, he was responsible for developing and directing the company’s business development and strategic opportunities, leading our sales and marketing team until 2016. He was instrumental in designing and developing Consolidated’s economic development services, making Consolidated the first contractor in Wisconsin to provide these services in-house.
Similarly, Mark identified opportunities to grow in new geographic regions, including southeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest. He spent four years traveling and developing our customer base in the Dakotas and western states, established our Western Division headquarters office in Bismarck, and led our successful entry into new markets, including hospitality, multi-family residential and energy. He is responsible for sourcing, developing and closing the largest projects in Consolidated’s history, propelling the company to new heights in project size, capabilities, customer satisfaction and revenues.
Today, Mark focuses his time on developing the manufacturing and industrial markets in Wisconsin as well as handling his past client base across the U.S. in a multitude of markets.
Tim Rinn's Bio
As Director of Senior and Multi-Family Living, Tim has helped developers, owner/operators, faith-based organizations, nonprofit, and for-profit companies plan, fund, design, and construct facilities for more than 25 years, in multiple states.
Prior to joining CCC, he held executive-level positions in strategic planning, real estate, project management, construction finance, business development and client relationship management with several prominent Midwest firms. Tim is an active member of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA), Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association (WHEA), National Investment Conference (NIC), Argentum, Alzheimer’s Association, Fox Valley Senior Resource Network and Leading Age Wisconsin.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in journalism and business finance. He is a licensed real estate broker and property manager, and has completed the Wisconsin Department of Health Services 83.15 CBRF Administrator course.

Pam Talavera's Bio
Pam joined Consolidated Construction in 1989 and is a majority shareholder of the company. She was named Chief Operating Officer in 2017.
She leads the continuous improvement efforts of Consolidated’s business operations, including finance and accounting functions, information technology, human resources, and administration. Reporting to Pam is the vice president of Risk Management, and managers of Information Technology, and Human Resources. In addition to her leadership role, she provides expertise on complex project estimates, and maintains final review and approval of all project budgets developed by the project management and estimating teams.
Pam has led a number of key initiatives for Consolidated, including technology platform integrations that have sharpened project accountability, improved the customer experience, and driven better communication between project stakeholders and corporate operations. She has also established new financial protocol to improve project revenue margins, strengthen the company’s balance sheet, and increase tangible net worth and bonding capacity.
Business Development, Marketing & Sales
Cassidy Hartman's Bio
As Consolidated’s Director of Business Development in the Dakotas, Cassidy’s role is to serve as the client’s representative throughout the pre-construction and construction process. She is skilled at handling marketing and communications needs, aiding in facilitating community engagement, and is knowledgeable on the many avenues of funding for public school districts.
Cassidy grew up in Mobridge, S.D. and has a passion for improving small town communities like the one in which she grew up. She is eager to support community communications efforts, as she sees the value in a new school for the future growth and development of smaller school districts. Cassidy has worked directly with, and on behalf of, many owners and developers to collaboratively help meet their business needs and goals, while also ensuring they receive top customer service throughout the process.
She is a graduate of the Offutt School of Business at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, and is Consolidated’s key contact with the North Dakota School Boards Association, North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders, North Dakota Small Organized Schools, and the School Administrators of South Dakota.
Gene Schleusner's Bio
Gene joined Consolidated in 2009 and is Senior Vice President of Business Development. He became a majority shareholder and was appointed to the board of directors in 2016.
Gene was brought aboard as Strategic Account Manager in the hospitality division, entrusted to lead the company’s entry into that market. He subsequently launched a new business development plan and actively networked with national hotel brand managers and developers, owners and operators. He also established internal programs to address the special requirements of hotel construction and geographically diverse projects. By efficiently mobilizing crews and equipment, offering expertise in hotel project delivery, site and brand selection, and economic development services, Consolidated presented greater value and earned a competitive advantage within the hospitality market.
In this role, Gene oversees all business development activities and continues to develop Consolidated’s vertical market approach, having formed new teams for the education, manufacturing, senior living, and food and beverage markets. He coaches and mentors Consolidated’s team of business development professionals, continues to network and lend his expertise to hospitality projects, and manages strategic initiatives related to company sales and market growth.
Jim Perras's Bio
Jim joined Consolidated Construction Company in 2004, and is a majority shareholder of the Company. His leadership of the company’s strategic planning process since 2006 has been instrumental in charting the company’s significant growth. Utilizing his strong planning and consensus-building background, Jim identified company-wide initiatives that resulted in improved project delivery capacity and efficiency, higher employee engagement, a stronger financial position and a heightened customer experience.
In addition to his corporate leadership responsibilities, Jim has successfully delivered over $800 million worth of projects throughout his 30-year career. He specializes in premier customer care, developing and leading large-scale projects to success. This includes the successful delivery of 17 projects in 5 states for Airgas and Owner’s Representative for the $72 million Waukesha Electric Systems EHV Expansion project.

Curtis Schroeder's Bio
Curtis, our Vice President of Architectural Services, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s School of Architecture, where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After a brief internship working with GE Medical Systems, he began his professional career in Milwaukee by moving directly into an architectural management role. While great designers are rare, more so are those who can design and interact effectively with clients to listen, educate, and collaborate.
With more than twenty-five years of professional experience in the discipline of architecture, Curtis brings a great variety of expertise to Consolidated, having designed commercial projects ranging from manufacturing, office buildings, and multi-family housing projects to user specific facilities, health care, and institutional projects. His client testimonials are a testament to both his design ingenuity and spirit of collaboration.
Having received his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation, Curtis seeks to integrate some form of sustainability in all projects; it’s good business practice and good for the earth. However, he remains cognizant of financial practicality and return on investment. He shares the Consolidated Construction philosophy that design should always be in sync with budget.
Jeremy Walker's Bio
Jeremy has been with Consolidated Construction since 1998 and is a minority shareholder. His work in several disciplines within the company, including 13 years as a project manager, gives him a customer-focused perspective. He offers his clients unique advantages relating to value engineering, expediting, reporting, and project close out.
Today, Jeremy focuses on business development efforts on the construction needs of food and beverage manufacturing companies. With his technical background, Jeremy is able to assist clients from pre-construction and development, through construction and start-up.
He is a member of the Food and Beverage (FaB) Wisconsin FaBcap committee working to support manufacturers throughout the ecosystem to develop plans for sustainable growth and industry innovation. Jeremy studied Mechanical Engineering at Fox Valley Technical College, and has completed the HACCP Food Safety Program.
Jess Ulmer's Bio
In his role as Strategic Accounts Manager for South Dakota, Jess works to continuously develop new business opportunities for Consolidated Construction in and around Rapid City, with emphasis on the Black Hills region. He works closely with clients and prospective clients to help them understand the value Consolidated can bring to their building projects, and to ensure a smooth process from planning to design to construction.
Jess grew up in the farm and ranching community of McLaughlin, South Dakota. He is a former small business owner, and prior to joining Consolidated, he was the business development manager for a construction developer in Nebraska. All told, he has more than 20 years of experience in business development and sales.
Jess has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical Institution, with an emphasis in marketing. He is active in the non-profit organizations Casas Por Cristo and Compassion International. Jess is Consolidated Construction’s primary representative to the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce, Elevate Rapid City, and the Box Elder Area Chamber of Commerce.
Steve Diedrich's Bio
Steve is our Vice President of Risk Management. He joined Consolidated Construction in 2010 and oversees all risk management and project economic development assistance operations. He is a voting shareholder and serves on the company’s operations leadership team.
Prior to joining the company, Steve enjoyed a successful 25-year career as a commercial business lender. He was brought aboard Consolidated specifically to shepherd construction projects through private- and public-sector financing phases quickly. He uses his experience to understand the portfolios and project objectives of client companies, then guides business owners through the complexities of financing and raising capital to their optimal advantage. Steve has played an active role in securing funding for several of Consolidated’s largest clients, moving their projects through to construction quickly.
In 2018, Steve was appointed Vice President of Risk Management. In addition to his economic development duties, he is also responsible for continuous improvement of corporate gross profit and net worth, and strengthening the company’s balance sheet, bonding position, and capacity. His active management of the company’s internal and external risk maximizes shareholder value and customer satisfaction.
