Matt Sever's Bio
Matt graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. degree in 1993 and pursued a career in the commercial construction industry
Matt has over 17 years of construction management experience
He has completed projects of all different size, type and complexity
In 2009, Matt founded Sever Construction to provide the highest level of service, quality and pricing in the industry

Frank Hinck's Bio
Frank’s professional experience in the construction industry began eight years ago when he joined the AmeriCorps National Service Program with Habitat for Humanity in New York City as a Crew Leader building affordable housing in Brooklyn, NYC. He later spearheaded the construction and opening of the first ReStore retail outlet in Queens, NYC. The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are “home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price.”
After four years with Habitat NYC, Frank headed across the United States to Seattle where he was the Construction Manager for Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance. In this role, Frank managed over two-million square feet of commercial roofing restoration and replacement.
Matthew Wagner's Bio
For nearly two decades, Matthew Wagner has been in the construction industry. His primary focus has been ground-up, new build construction projects. His project management portfolio includes Coloplast Headquarters in Minneapolis and the Gopher Resources Recycling Center in Tampa, Florida.
Matthew is well versed in the industrial, hospitality, medical, office and aviation markets. His background includes leading operations with an emphasis on Lean deployment in construction and he’s achieved a green belt in Six Sigma as well as the Lean Silver Certification.
His interest in construction began in elementary school where he volunteered to work on the community’s high school’s new football field house. From there, he’s been passionate about construction which has led him to exciting projects such as the Four Winds Casino in Michigan and the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn.
Shawn Cross's Bio
Shawn Cross has over 17 years of construction experience in both field and project management settings. He began his career as a plumbing apprentice and went to school to be an electrician. Shawn has a wealth of experience in many trades and real estate management.
Shawn’s expertise lies within the details of planning and executing the design and spec finishes for corporate, hospitality, and industrial environments. He’s proficient at managing multiple moving parts and people to ensure job site quality and critical deadlines.

Melissa Bjornson's Bio
In April of 2018, Melissa Bjornson joined the Sever Construction team as Sales and Marketing Manager. With 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Melissa strengthens the SCC brand through strategic digital messaging, functional collateral and industry-related networking events. Her capacity to think big picture and execute the tactical are complemented well with her ability to build trusted relationships.

Lynn Coyle's Bio
Lynn Coyle has joined the SCC team as accounting and office operations manager and brings over 20 years of industry experience. Her responsibilities include overseeing our accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general office operations.
Lynn enjoys working within the fast-paced construction industry in customer service centric roles. She’s primarily held account and administrative positions for the majority of her career.
Early in her career, Lynn held a part-time administrative role for a construction company with offices in Edina and Maple Plain, where she supported the commercial division and segued into the residential storm division.
In her spare time, Lynn enjoys working out, walking her doggy, Finn (a tri-colored Springer), and visits with her two daughters and friends.

Alex McMillan's Bio
As Sever Construction’s General Superintendent, Alex McMillan brings more than 35-years of construction experience to the SCC team. Since the Company’s formation, Alex has worked alongside Matt Sever overseeing operations and project execution.
It seems Alex was always destined for the construction industry, given that his father was a famous architect in New York City, N.Y., and one of the founders of The Architects Collaborative.
As a young man, Alex spent many afternoons at his father’s architectural office. His affinity for construction grew and he found himself spending summers after high school with his brother in California as a carpenter. Shortly thereafter, he made attempts to go back to school, but felt it was more advantageous to continue his career in carpentry.
In the early 1990’s, Alex settled down in Minnesota with his wife who was also from New York. And since, Alex has worked in a variety of construction roles, including carpenter apprentice, union carpenter and construction superintendent.
Mary Jo Tuttle's Bio
Since 2014, Mary Jo Tuttle has been our adept Project Assistant at Sever Construction. She supports all levels of the SCC team with a series of tasks including financial, historical and legal matters related to general contracting.
Mary Jo has a strong set of skillsets that she has collected over the last 30 years. Her niche in support and administrative roles within the construction industry have been valuable to the overall team. Mary Jo is an essential asset to the team in preparation of project documentation, bidding processes, contract awards, and project close-out.
