In 2001, Bob assumed leadership of McCrossin following his father’s longtime service to the company as president and much-loved employee for over two decades. A graduate of Penn State University, Bob worked started his career with McCrossin in 1983 as a Superintendent, leaving in 1986 to join Centex Construction in Virginia. He returned to McCrossin in 1994, after having worked on notable projects such as the CIA headquarters in Langley, the Presidential Helicopter Facility, and the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
As President, Bob has expanded McCrossin’s services in order to provide solutions for every owner’s need. His emphasis has been on increasing the company’s design-build capabilities and forming divisions within the McCrossin structure, so as to offer construction and foundations solutions under one roof. He has maintained relationships with suppliers, owners, and partners, and our reputation in the field has become the bedrock upon which our company’s success is built. Bob takes an active role in everyday operations, overseeing headquarters in Bellefonte and all satellite offices throughout the state.
McCrossin is a privately-held family company, and Bob still adheres to his father’s philosophy of delivering on one’s promise. As President, his role is integral to building trust, loyalty, and honesty between McCrossin and our partners.
