Scope Of Work
University Medical Center (UMC) of El Paso is the largest public hospital located directly on the U.S./Mexico border and is seeing continuous growth in patient visits. To meet the demand of accommodating healthcare and community development in El Paso, UMC awarded Jaynes two projects – UMC East and Northeast Emergency Departments. Jaynes began construction on University Medical Center – Northeast ED in January of 2019 and began construction on University Medical Center – East ED in February of 2019. Through both facilities, UMC will be able to provide services such as internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, basic radiology, a pharmacy and rehabilitation services. According to the hospital district’s budget for the fiscal year 2018, UMC officials project outpatient visits to increase by eight percent due to the the openings of these facilities. UMC’s vision is to set the standard for quality as a community healthcare center.
